Hey guys,
I've got a quick question with regards to latency and time delay for tracking servers that handle European traffic while located in America.
If more than 80% of my traffic is European, do you think it's worth it to set up a Prosper server overseas, or will working with BeyondHosting in the USA be good enough?
I've got my content hosted in Europe - this post is only asking about tracking delays and how they could effect conversions.
Thanks!
ATG
If you're dealing with a lot of european traffic, I'd suggest going with a european hosting or a us hosting that have data centers in europe, it would definitely improve your pages loading time !
The closer your visitor is from the datacenter the faster he'll be redirected.

You can still host in america but you want a facility on the east coast, ohio/new york that has direct ties into european networking.
Look for what ISP the company uses, level3 / global crossing has both countrys well connected and long as your on that network latency won't be to bad overseas.
Track wherever, load the statics onto a geographic cdn and call it a day.
I just switched to ISPrime.com in the netherlands. They offer a CDN as well and probably got the best peering arrangements in all of europe.
The majority of my traffic is in US/CA but i could not be happier with this machine. It costs a pretty penny but you gotta spend money to make money.
