questions regarding optimizing targets

Hi guys, posted this on the newbie section for a couple of days but no reply so try posting it here. just going through the STM 40 day guide and have launched a few campaigns but have a question about optimizing targets.

so say I have the following domain variations:

domain.com - 100% payout, no conversions
domain.co - 100% payout, no conversions
domain.c - 100 views, 50% ROI

So with this result, do I want to pause all these urls because since they are the same targets and different variations and the overall ROI is less than 50%
Or do I want to pause .com and .co only?

Cheers

Just out of curiosity, how many views per target do you have so far? Also how much is the offer paying out? I've had some offers convert better on .c and .co, and I ended up removing the .com variation, but I always waited until I had statistically significant data.

hey, when you say per target, is one domain variation a target? or do you mean all the variations of 1 domain combined is a target?

my payout is $1.40

.com has around 140 views where as .co and .c have just above 100 views

Pause .com and .co and see what happens to .c If it will generate views from .com and .co you will see that.

Oops sorry about the confusion. Yes, by target I'm referring to one domain variation of a URL. It looks like you're running an email submit, in which case it is very common for one variation (.com, .co, or .c) to perform better than the others. I don't think there is any particular reason for this however..... I've had this happen on many occasions. I'd follow johnnygood's advice and just run with .c and see how that works out. Although with only 100 views that isn't much data to work with. I'd also try rotating different versions of the same offer to see if they convert better.

Thanks for the reply guys, I have paused .com now and will see what happens next.

@liam, how many views would you think is a big enough sample to work with?

1k+ views is what I like to look for. Although the problem with most email submits is that once you generate a 50 or more leads most of them start scrubbing like crazy; that is unless you're traffic is high quality (18+, preferably 45+ female).
