Hey guys,
When doing research for mobile offers, I'm noticing that a lot of mobile traffic is in the "other" category and it's usually the largest percentage. Take Admoda in ZA for example:

Might be a dumb questions, but say I chose to split test all of the operators and I got good results from "other". If I chose to pass back an operator token (I know Admoda doesn't have one, but other networks have large amounts of this traffic also) will the operator show up in my tracking? And if so, will I be able to target that traffic?
I have a feeling that the reason it's in the "other" category to being with is because they don't know what it is, and therefore I won't be able to target within it.
What's your opinion? Do you ever have success targeting "other"?
Thanks!
This is mostly WiFi traffic. This is the traffic outside IP ranges of the carriers, so even if you get a better idea where this traffic comes from by using ie. maxmind's isp database or some other ip analysis, you won't be able to target a part of it anyways.
Think of it as WiFi excl all carriers.
Gotcha... and on that note, I am confused about something else. There's an offer for Italy where the advertiser gives you these requirements:
Targeting info:
3G: TIM, H3G, Vodafone
WiFi: Wind
No tablet traffic allowed!
So if you're targeting Wifi, how can you also target a carrier at the same time? The best solution I can think of is from a post I saw here somewhere: Make an LP asking them what carrier they use then direct them accordingly. Is there a simpler way?
