If your starting out, 202 is fine
If you have complex funnels then CPVLab is a must
Both have their strengths and weaknesses.
The free version of 202 is good enough for anyone starting out.

Even more complex most likely like adding couple options for a user and depending what they choose presenting them different offers.
If it's simple Landing Page > Offer you should go with t202

you can use both
prosper can track 4 custom variables (c1-c4), cpvlab unlimited.
prosper does have a "advanced landing page" option that you could use to track your campaign.
however - cpvlab makes it easier! It has the "multiple options" campaign type, where you can track multiple offers on a page, and rotate multiple offers per option.
