What is a good ad CTR and lp CTR for 40+F dating USA?

Hey Everyone,

I used to do quite well with Fb and dating over the last few years but stopped about a year ago to focus on longer term projects. I am getting back into it now and finding it much harder. i.e. I launch, make money the first few days, then break even the next few days and then I just lose and lose until I cut it off.

I have a killer offer direct with the advertiser that focuses on 40+ F in the USA.

- for the life of me I cant get ad CTR above around 0.05%. even with kw's it is only around 0.06% - 0.07%. Is this pretty typical for my 40+F USA niche? I have tried all the typical things borders, flipping images, weird sizes. I have been testing proven images from back in the day or proven from POF.

- I have proven landers from POF that consistently get 50%+ CTR through to the offer, but I am getting 15-17% through FB. What should I be aiming for on FB for lp CTR?

I am also advertising 40+F in the UK and although ad CTR is similar I am getting 20-25% sign up so that makes it easier.

I feel I have enough experience and knowledge to make this work, I must be missing something obvious.

Just trying to get a good idea if I am heading in the right direction or are my numbers out to lunch and I have an uphill battle?

I am bidding $1.01 cpc. I get some traffic for the first few days but it dries up along with ctr and conversion.

Bidding higher can lead to a higher ctr and conversion on FB? I know on POF it can.

High bids will place your ads to top when you begin (if your account is established one), thus high CTR and lower CPC..

On FB you need to aim for at least 30% lp CTR in order to be profitable.

However, on your case, since you're advertising to 40+ female in the US, you'll need to work on:

1) your ads, keep submitting ads everyday so that you can hit at least 0.8% CTR.

2) your lander, anything below 20% is really low. You have to work harder on it. Try putting the main benefit of joining the dating site as the headline and keep on split testing them. Advertising to female is all about your copy.
