Facebook Rebill - Need help, so make it a follow along

Hello Everyone,

As my co-reg business came down in flames due to the new regulations, i decided to go the rebill route, since i need money. Due to bad investments, most of my earlier CPA earnings went to shit, and im constantly living near the edge right now.

I used pages / flogs i had earlier to base my current page on, and although it isnt doing extremely bad (currently @ 13% CTR), my ads suck balls, highest CTR i have seen is 0.052, wich means a very high CPC (.60)

I am planning to reveal anything in here, and hopefully the more experienced rebill guys can help me out.

So, the offers:

I went with:
African Mango - Payout $38, network EPC about $4
Natural Cleanse S2 - Payout $31, Network EPC about $6

Ive set up a Farticle type lander, see screenshot below:

My CTR stats arent too bad:

However, what does SUCK are my FB CTR's, i think this is where the main problem is.

I know there are a couple of big rebillers on this forum, and i really hope someone can help me with my facebook ad copy and pictures. I am really not asking for you to hand me your campaign, but i would love input on what kinds of adcopy / headers work!

I will keep this thread updated with results, screenshots, stats etcetera.

UPDATE:
After reading the post Mehdi provided below, i added 2 more ads:

Bid on both is still .75, well above the recommended bid

UPDATE:
Added another ad group for 50-55, thanks to the tip from deondup

Waiting for mass approval now, have 36 ads pending

UPDATE - 19 July

The day started out well and i even had profit for a while, but after a small budget increase, i went deep in the red again
Spent: $320 - Made: $185

UPDATE - 20 July
After talking with a big rebiller, i decided to drop CA and go UK, will update later when my new & improved ads get approved

I take it your cloaking it right? I would go onto big media buy sites on a Canadian proxy and see what type of pages are being run and rotate a bunch to find a winner.

The problem is not my page for now, it is my terrible FB CTR. With a decent (.1) CTR i would be running a profit right now

What's your bidding strategy like? Are bidding way higher than recommended at first to get impressions/improve ctr? Are you splitting age groups up?

07-18-2012 10:02 PM #6 presfox (Member)

I have age groups set up in 5 year increments, but right now only 35-40 is running because most people tell me that is the best one to start with.

I am bidding just above the recommended bid now, but it is weird, when i created the ad, facebook said the bid range was 1.04 - 1.69

When i created it and clicked it the bid range was .39 - .58. My bid is set to .75 now

yes i had that "bid suggestion change" bug too , i guess it happens from time to time, cause i'm pretty sure i didn't change anything to targeting.

you can try : crazyctr.com to generate tons of image variations and have better chances to improve ctr%
and for ad copy you can check this article from Mike Geary (truthaboutabs guy) : http://www.truthaboutabs.com/30K-affiliate-2.html
he gives some tips about ppc ad copy for flat belly niche

Best of luck mate.

Mehdi

PS : would it be possible to know what cloacker you're using ?

Ads updated after reading that post.

07-19-2012 07:29 AM #9 presfox (Member)

Lol, all my new ads got disapproved "You cannot market these products to users under 18 years of age"

WTF, all targeting is set to 35-40....

I would urge you to test women 50+ as well. Generally they are much more desperate to lose weight and they are very gullible. I haven't run weight loss on FB for ages but the 50-55 was definitely the best demo

Thanks for the tip deondup, i will give it a shot

Sorry to hear about your coreg stuntage bro,

In AM you really can never rely on 1 vertical for your income and believe it'll be there for life because AM is rude and it will eventually die out,

Since you are obviously good at cloaking, rebills could help you stack some money quickly and best of luck, could maybe invest in a fb spy get the best ads and landers, and just constantly ask networks for their best rebills.

Wishing you best of luck on getting back on your feet, but once you get rebills going again, I would diverse again and look into other avenues.

Less Eggs, More Baskets

Maynzie, thanks for the tip.

Problem is, for now i suck at rebills :P and i have a hard time getting my ads approved too, but hopefully it will all work out in the end

The hardest thing on facebook is getting your ads approved and to keep them running

07-19-2012 03:45 PM #15 stackman (Administrator)

- Use images of people slightly younger than the age you are targeting
- Use cartoon images
- don't just use face shots
- shocking/more in your face images if theyre safe to get approved/by the review team (usually if its too intense of an image it'll trigger them to triple check your campaign)

Also switch the word unique to something like "clever" "brilliant" etc... 'unique' is borrrringg

You'll probably crack profit with more testing, but the trick will be sustaining those ads from the disapproval sledgehammer

Just one of those tiny, tiny things to point out about your landing page: at the front of your article, it says "Vancouver, Canada (Canada Times)".

No newspaper in Canada would ever report the news that way. You don't see papers in the states going "Los Angeles, USA". They'll all say "Los Angeles, California". I'd totally change it to "Vancouver, British Columbia" or even "Vancouver, BC"

Thanks, changed

I do rebills on FB.

Your ad copy isnt enticing enough.

Aim for CTR above 0.2% to profit.

Are you using keywords or just go broad?

OK....Reality check...

Since Maynzie is just too nice to say it outright, I feel I must because i read statements like this

"...As my co-reg business came down in flames due to the new regulations, i decided to go the rebill route, since i need money. Due to bad investments, most of my earlier CPA earnings went to shit, and im constantly living near the edge right now...."

and I facepalm...

gonna give you an analogy

if you loose your finger juggling knives.....switching to juggling chainsaws is prob not the best idea....

Running rebills on FB is one of the most unstable things you could possibly do....not to mention one of the most expensive to test to get actionable data....

account bannings are fast and quick esp with the ads you are running esp in countries you are running in...

so you could spend 1k to get stuff sorted then have your account blow up right as you get profitable.....this is the more the rule than the exception....

and just a fyi the rebill space atm is a very unstable vertical....with offers going up and down all the time and tight cap restrictions on offers that perform....diet being the most unstable.....

reason why I say all of this is not to be a dick but to say that there are 99 other things I would tell you to do first in your situation.....

for example.....you can make 500/day directlinking crap on PPV....stable long term monies....have you tried this?

I am guessing no....

This is the best advice I can give you about your campaign....

The unicorn is right!

FB cloaking is anything but stable or easy.

Needs very good cloaking in place , cashflow , a good pool of fb accounts , good connections with rebill advertisers / networks , and a lot lot of patience.

There are a lot of easier ways to make money out there.

I've been able to generate good cashflow with rebills the day I started testing them. Don't stop testing!

hey any update on this? did you walked the path?

09-15-2012 08:51 AM #29 mraffiliate (Member)

I used to do rebills on FB. It's a pretty hard niche to get into, but you can make good money. Very unstable though and not an income you can rely on for sure. Better to do something else and have it be more stable.
