Hi Guys, ok i just seen this New follow along contest and thought it be good timing as i am launching a new weight loss product launch...as in the next several days.
I have spent the last 11 months putting this together in the hope to bring to the market place a good product for weight loss.
Some of you guys who have a lot of experience may think that i am insane to be doing it and especially in the way that i have?
This is not a free trial but a straight sale.
I believe that if i find the right hook this can do some good numbers but lets see?
My back ground...
I got into media buying a few years ago and did some ok numbers where i was doubling and tripling my adspend on a daily basis (on AOL UK at the time).
All my banners were doing between 1% - 2.6% ctr.
But then...
I went through a split with my ex and we had a looong drawn out court case going on as we have 2 little angels and thus i stopped work.
I am very rusty indeed and just getting back into it lol ( i cannot even remember how to use an adserver! We are using adshuffle and have got stuck on a couple of things)
Yesterday i mentioned during a chat with someone from STM that i have about 6000 banners to roll out and he went silent.
I then found out that we don’t have 6000 banners...
I am actually embarrassed to say how many there are, but if it makes money then i may tell ya ☺
Break Down of data...
Tracking – cpvlabs, google analytics, getclicky
Hosting – Hostgator vsp is it called ☺ ?
Vertical – Weight Loss – Own digital product, but giving away the following own physical...

Who am i getting the traffic through? Do not know yet.
We have 181 url’s that we have research through using Abeat, where we want to be and their placements for the banners.
We may use a company in the UK but they only serve at the moment, 31 of the 181 url’s in the US.
Countries – USA, UK Only for now.
Budget $10,000
Adserver – Adshuffle, any help with this would be welcomed
Landing Pages – A - 2 different styles (Ugly v Nice) but split testing different elements. This is for a direct sale.
We also have several other Landing page designs that we may test. (7 different styles in total i think)
Landing Pages – B – 2 different styles but, we test a 3 day evergreen pre-launch system.
Banners – cough, cough...lets say 400
Banners sizes – 300x250 & 728x90
Also to set it up on Click Bank asap but i do not know how long this takes to get it running on there?
Anyone have any experience with Click Bank?
And yes, maybe even still giving away the physical products as someone at CB said they would look at the offer.
WHY DO THIS?
Of course to make money but to really give people a good product to lose weight while hopefully making a good ROI.
There are some really great marketers out there, really good! (I wish i had 2% of your skill, really!) That sell, for my opinion...CRAP! And then you have some really good products that do not sell that well because the owners are not good marketers.
I believe that there is an inbetween and the ones that crack that inbetween code will make a killing!
Negatives
This is a big ask to take on and to change things a little.
Long sales video and do not have many options to test others.
If it does ok, it will get ripped.
Not sure if i can get this up and working on time based on the contest time frame?
I got 1000 bonus give-a-ways, 100 in the USA Amazon fulfilment and 900 here at the UK airport and i DO NOT want to be having to ship them back to the US i just got them here!
I do not have fulfilment in the UK yet (10 more days) and looks like i have to have them dumped here at my pad and do the shipping from here!
It could fail on it’s ass in front of STM Gods of marketing and i look like a real ASS ☺ And i have just worked my butt off for 11 months and spent over $200,000 putting this together! (I must be Frikin Nuts)

All the banners have been approved here in the UK and they are a lot more strict here than in the USA.

Couple of things...
Well a little help really 
1 - What are you guys using for Affiliate tracking?
I want to have the ability to track affiliate sales but also to keep paying them on all future sales
as we have several back end products. Some are 1 time payment and some are re-bills.
Oh btw - this maybe useful info to people...(you forget stuff sometimes )
We are using one of the best membership platforms around 'membermouse'.
It allows us to take money for products on/in the members area just buy them clicking
a button meaning..."They do not need or are required to give/type in their card details again".
This is because we have integrated the membermouse with our cart crm.
MMmmm...there was a second point but forgot now because i was writing the above..tap, tap, tap...
AAAaahhhh got it...
2 - we have hooked this up into ClickBank today to sell while giving away the Physical products (I am hoping affiliates will jump on this over there...yeah, yeah if I get it converting!)
Anyhow...does anyone know someone over at ClickBank who could put a word in to move this forward quicker?

OK, we are looking at going live on Friday 20th July with a $10k media buy.
To start we are going to run 2 styles of banners
(note - I am not a guru marketer Guy just trying to get through this the best way i know how)
...so 2 banners styles to kick off with, which will have 10 of each banners to start testing but though we are testing the banners, we are
running this to a landing page that we hope will convert somewhat (based on research) to start with as we are wanting to get data/intelligence

Yes we have a phone number for both USA & UK based on IP.
Same goes for the video, images, offer...as in the page will load in US $ or UK £'s.
Not sure why but writing this reminded me to put into place tijn's 'how to lock down and secure your site' that i read on here. (it was called something like that)
So yes they are active now as in, people can leave messages.
We do have a customer support team from the US in place but not sure if to have live from the off or not?
What 's your thoughts?

I believe it deserves a bigger sized player, like take off those certified thingis from the viewable place, just the small header and an almost-fullscreen player + delayed "add to cart button" , I can send you a split test about all this from Ryan Deiss who has done it all so you can get the perfect VSL, get in touch via skype if you want.

everything is not in place yet.
the button will pop about 17mins.
Because we are still tweaking stuff, we would have to wait 17 mins for it to pop then to go through the funnel
so it is set for 3 secs or something.
The full screen player...i was told that if we do full screen, then it has to have the stop/pause/fast forward what ever on the video player, so that is why we kept it small.
Yes, agree with the certified thingis, but we will either keep them there because they pop at 17mins hence it looks then secure for them to buy or we will take out all together (WE WILL TEST IT)

We have so much material from the filming and having had 2 editors working on it (and they want to do their own thing when you are telling them different) Basically you have to sit down with them, hand in hand and go through EVERYTHING together.
And on the other hand, you are doing the marketing and 100 other to-do's that you cannot sit down with them. They are editors and they think they know how to edit and yes they do but not from a direct response/marketing stand point.
I just had to let it slide somewhat just so i could get on with other work.
I thought that if i can get it somewhere just to start with and then make tweaks and changes as we go along.
This is not a finished polished sales video but it is a catch 20, because do you perfect it and never get going or do you get it some what ok and then tweak later?
I have in the past tried to get things so good and never got anywhere as it never stops

Regarding the ....- Was it a decision to make the video non-autoplay?
It will be set up for autoplay, actually it should be set up already? Meaning that it plays with out clicking the play button, right?
Also the pop up button is not set correct yet.
Actually it is not live yet...we start sending traffic next week to it.
Once i get several days, once most work is done...then i will sit down and see how to tweak stuff. Most of the marketing etc is good but not perfect...just cannot get my head there...way too much on.
So we will run and then tweak

Just had 1-2 days off to get my head around things, to think straight etc.
Mr Green, i would like to ask if there is any chance of extending the comp for a further 7 days due to this happening
as it has put me behind somewhat?
I have just got 2 computers come from a friend who has loaned them to me for a week so that we can move on this media buy
that should have started last friday but will now go ahead on monday for 10 days.
I just moved here to this new apartment 2-3 weeks ago and did not get round to getting any insurance. They only took the 5 computers
and did not take the hard drives or anything else, so we have most things backed up.
Never had this experience before, it is kinda weird. I am sleeping in the room now with the computers so that i am here if they come back.
I bought a (cannot believe i did this) I bought a baseball bat yesterday just so that i have some protection because any noise in the night
you wake up and you are scared of what it maybe. Like i said, it is kinda weird.
Anyhow....back to media buying and hopefully getting this turned around.
So Monday 23rd, we go live with a media buy for 10 days and i will update daily
on the banners, how many banners, which banners pull the best along with the sales
funnel and upsell(s).
Looks like we have 1 upsell after now because of having some time from friday till now
to get the page done.
That upsell 1 is a super greens and the price point is $97 or $77 for/on a re-fill.
I will upload that page on the 'UPDATE PAGE BACK ON PAGE 1' later on today.
I am just getting something up and will require tweaks but it is better than nothing.
