htgred Wild West Follow Along Contest- Bargain Basement Biz Opp. Lead Gen Arbitrage

Hey STM,

This follow along has been on my list to try and now is the time. I am going to attempt an email capture campaign with an auto-responder follow up sequence in the biz opp niche.

The traffic source is one I hadn't even heard of until recently. Paid to click ads sites, people get paid to click on ads and look at them for specific time 15, 30 or 60 seconds. The traffic is pretty cheap and I see a bunch of squeeze pages being run so maybe it works.

The traffic sources.

http://www.clixsense.com
http://adhitz.com/en
http://www.neobux.com

So far I have just set up an account with Click Sense we will start there first.

Goals

My goal for this campaign is to work on my email marketing skills. I have been reading/learning some stuff on auto-responder sequences and copywriting. I really like the idea of capturing traffic and having more than one shot at the conversion.

I also like the idea cheap traffic and my understanding is these Paid To Click sites have plenty.

I don't expect to make a ton of money on this campaign and that's fine. I am looking at this as a stepping stone to bigger campaigns and building a skill set in email follow ups.

Squeeze Page

Second Headline For Squeeze Page w/ Same Bullet Points

When someone opts in they will be pushed to this page which is a rip of the Aweber confirm page with some offers on the bottom. There is also sound on this page "Please Confirm Your Email Subscription"

After they confirm the subscriber will land on another offer or offers. I haven't got that page setup yet.

Then I will send out an email sequence with more biz opp offers. I have applied to a bunch on Convert2Media but am waiting for approval.

Ads

and

What To Look Forward To:

I will be getting started on some emails and have some actual offers to talk about as well as finishing up the other pages. Confirm page offer or offer wall.

I will also get setup with the other 2 traffic sites and hopefully have some preliminary ad stats.

This follow along will be totally transparent. I will be sharing my complete email sequence and offer pages. Ad results, traffic stats whatever.

My success record as an affiliate is pretty low, something like 5% or so. What that means is that there is a 95% chance this campaign will be massive flop. I ain't scared.

My budget is the same as always, spend until I run out of ideas and enthusiasm or I get profitable in which case as much as I can spend obv.

The first thing I need to find out is will this traffic convert at all and at what cost per subscriber.

I will be tracking based off cost per sub.

Stay Tuned!

And please ask any questions or whatever feedback you like.

Thanks,

Hey STM,

It's been a little over a day and I have some results to report from the exciting world of Paid to Click advertising.

So far I have only tested on Clix Sense. I spent $31 for ad credits which bought me approx. 4000 clicks. I sent most of them to my 2 squeeze pages but also tried a few hundred clicks just direct linking a few random offers. Direct linking resulted in zero conversions.

Out of the 2400 clicks to my squeeze pages. I got 24 subscribers. I used single opt in with a welcome email that encourages unsubscribes.

I changed up from double opt in because I wanted to send the prospect directly from the squeeze page to an offer.

I rotated 3 offers and got 1 conversion. The offer that converted was Max Profit academy.

It was different than the others in that it had video and was more of a true biz opp vs. the others that were surveys and job offers.

So I ended up spending $31 - $2.40 = $28.60 + 24 subscribers.

I wrote 2 emails so far just to test and see what would happen. Here they are.

Welcome and Thanks For Signing Up!

Hello,

Thanks for signing up to receive my email course
and welcome to Day 1 on your way to $100 a day online.
This is a small goal. A starting point. You can do much
better than $100 a day.

But first thing is first. Baby Steps!

The very first thing I want you to do before we go any
further is to make sure you want to receive this
information. I hate the idea of bugging someone with
emails if they're not really interested and won't read
them anyway.

If this is you please scroll to the bottom of this email
and click the unsubscribe link. I am not a spammer and
only want to send to people who are genuinely interested
in making that $100 a day online.

Ok, we got that out of the way.

Lets get started.

I kind of have an idea who you are and where you're coming
from. I know because I have been in your spot, searching
for the right information to break through and make a
consistent reliable income online.

I failed alot. I wasted over $19000 chasing easy solutions
and too good to be true offers.

The good news is I learned a lot. Including the #1 thing
not to do! More on that later...

My name is Ed Bryant, I am a real person. Feel free to
connect with me on Facebook...

Connect with Me on Facebook > Link To Facebook> I made 1 new Friend

I am lucky enough to make a decent little income online.
It was not always that way. I remember at my lowest point
my wife screaming at me that all I did was waste time
sitting on the couch with my laptop and blowing all of
our money.

Not a good feeling.

Like I said I lost a little over $19000. The good news
is, I know what not to do.

These days I spend anywhere from 4-8hrs a day working
online and the rest of the time is mine. One of the
things I have been doing with my free time is building
my education by taking free online courses.

This is a little off topic but since I mentioned it
let me share my favorite site.

Totally Free. Princeton,Stanford, University Of Michigan ect.

Free College Courses amazing! > Link To Authority site for credibility?> idk

Speaking of education. Learning the skills that earn is
what it's all about in making money online. You have to
learn some skills.

Sales or Service.

You learn to make sales or you learn skills that you can
sell as services.

I will point you to some great resources for learning
both. But first I know you are ready to get started on making
money right now.

You have to leverage the skills you already have.

One of the skills we all have already is the ability to
complete consumer surveys. This is what I used when I was
first starting out.

Companies are finding that customers are getting more
reluctant to fill in surveys. This New York Times article > steal authority again>
talks about the weary customer being constantly bugged for
their opinion.

That's good news for us because business are more willing
than ever to pay us to give feedback

The problem with surveys is that there are a ton of survey
sites out there and some are not so reputable, they want
you to pay. Avoid these.

The key is to test several survey sites and see what they
have to test that fits for you.

Survey companies are always getting new clients and offers
so it's imprtant to find the best deals by signing up for
more than one company.

Here is a list of some of the top survey companies. > link to simple page with some survey sites>

Pick at least 2 or 3 and sign up and get started earning
money right now. It's very simple, you just need to be honest
and fair in your opinions.

These companies want real consumers to test their offers
and products so that is why they are willing to pay people
to do surveys.

I personally had my first $100 day online doing survey work,
in fact I not only made money but ended up working with one
of the companies for years attending movies for Free!

It was a great job. I would go to the theater get in with a
special free pass from Warner Brothers and then write down
all the previews and ads before the show. Then I could watch
the movies for Free.

Most of the offers are done online though so that one
was a bit different.

Anyway, this email is getting a bit long so for now go
here and pick a few survey sites and get signed up.
You have nothing to lose so take action now!

Thanks,
ED Bryant

PS The One thing you should never do? you should never
take anything at face value without testing it yourself!
Just like those survey sites I am talking about. Don't
take my word for it. TEST IT YOURSELF!

PPS. Tomorrow I will tell you more about how I lost that
$19000 and give you some tips about what I really
learned for my money!

Email 2

Hello,

So I hope you got a chance to check out a
few of the survey sites I talked about yesterday.

If not go ahead and signup now. It's an easy way to
get started making a few bucks online.

Top Survey Sites

I wish I had known about those when I first started.
I was one of those people that thought you had to
invest a bunch of money building websites.

What a mistake! Remember I mentioned I lost $19000
or so when I was starting out?

Well that's what I did. I had the idea that to make
money online you needed to build websites.

And get traffic from google. And to get traffic from
google you needed to spend money on links, and
link building software and monthly link building
subscriptions.

It really adds up. I did it all. I ended up with
one website that did rank in google.

But it cost me fortune.

And guess what..

When I finally started getting this traffic that
I had worked so hard for. I didn't make very much
money.

Like almost none. I was sad.

I was ready to quit the whole make money online
thing. I did for awhile even.

But I had time on my hands and one day while
I was wasting time playing games online. I saw an
ad for Vidale Surveys

They advertised surveys paying $5.00-$75.00. I thought
it was too good to be true. I did some research on the
company and it seemed legit.

I had my first $100 dollar day online.

I was performing a legitimate service and getting paid.

Now this is a nice way to get started. It's better than
losing money. The problem is that it takes time.

I wanted something beyond surveys. Something that was
more sales related.

So while I was doing a a few hours of survey work everyday
I was also searching for something sales related that
wouldn't rely on me being there to make money.

What happened next is kind of a long story. The end result
though was I ended up learning about Facebook.

The thing that I learned was that you could use Facebook
traffic, which is massive, to sell stuff on Amazon and
make a commission. I even started getting a bit of traffic
from google.

I used the money I made from surveys to start buying
traffic on Facebook.

Like I said it's kind of a long story and I don't want
to try to squeeze it all into this one email. I am going
to get to work writing it all out and send it to you
as soon as I can.

So the next email from me will be a detailed breakdown of
how to make Amazon sales using Facebook. It takes a few
bucks to get started. If you have extra money to test this
great.

If not build up a few dollars doing some surveys.

Either way I think you'll like what I am going to
share with you. I know guys are selling the information
in courses for big bucks.

You will get the info for free.

Talk Soon,
Ed

PS. Feel free to friend me on Facebook and anytime
you have any feedback just hit the reply button.
Would love to hear from you.

What I Learned So Far and Plans

1. $100 a day ad got more subscribers 17-7
2. There are a couple options for clicks 15 seconds is .007 per click and seems to convert just as well as the 30 second that is .0155
3. I surfed a bunch of ads and there is some weird shit running. It looks like some PPV network is buying traffic there. And also some mainstream websites like http://www.chacha.com/ Seems like some kind of arbitrage?
4. I think I need to change up my emails and promote true biz opp vs. surveys & job offers.
5. I should also test a video squeeze page
6. So video squeeze page to increase conversions, push everything to the one offer that converted. Change the focus of emails.

Thanks for reading!

I like your short paragraphs in the emails' body. Short lines help readability too.
