PPV or bust (8)

PPV or bust

Ok so here is my first attempt at a follow along. BTW my plan is to launch 100 campaigns by August 1st regardless of my profits or loss, so I hope this keeps me on track a bit I'm not going to be posting specifics, just numbers and stats so I hope that's ok.

To summarize what I've done so far:
- I set aside about $1000.00 for this month to spend. I've already used a bit under half of that between the fees this forum, CPVLab, and hosting. the rest (500.00ish) will go to LeadImpact, as the 40 day guide suggests.

-I've gotten hosting/CPVLab all set up, and accounts with NeverBlue and Peerfly approved.

-Researched and picked my first offer (it's a $1.15 payout zip submit), demographics to target, and designed a few different landing pages to split test along with direct linking.

-Created my first LeadImpact campaign. Started with about 30 keywords, got disapproved because the trick in the 40 day guide when choosing categories to get lower bids didn't work, so had to re-categorize with slightly higher bid costs but when I replied to the denial email they approved it very quickly.

-Let the campaign run to the suggested $5.00 daily budget cap, which took about 16 hours.

-Now in the process of analyzing data. I'm thinking I need a bit more to really make decisions, so I'm throwing another $5.00 at it. Here's the data so far:

I think I'll be pausing the keyword underlined in red (its the same one in LPs and Direct), is it too early to do that yet? Seems pretty low on ctr. Besides that, I've added a few more keywords as the volume seems a bit low on the others.

Any other suggestions for this campaign so far, or should I just wait it out a little longer to get some better data?

Thanks for following, stay tuned for the next campaign!

Ok, So I've been busy putting up campaigns last night and tonight. Put up 4 total. 3 have 2 landing pages each, split testing with a direct link as the 40 day guide suggests. The other is a direct link. It is taking me a lot longer than I thought it would to create landing pages, which I completely suck at apparently. Anyway, Had a bunch of stuff disapproved by LI, mainly due to the direct linked offers having exit pops, and some stupid keyword decisions on my part. They are all finally up and running, but I'm thinking I've chosen bad keywords and/or offers since the traffic is very, very low on all the offers except for one of them. That particular offer had one keyword that blew my budget in about 2 hours (200 impressions) and had no conversions at all, I should have watched the campaign closer for a while. I'm beginning to think email and zip submits are not as easy to get profitable as I had hoped. As for my first campaign, I threw another 5 bucks at it, and got zero conversions, so I've deactivated it.

Just a quick update cause it's late (I guess this thing is more of a journal for myself rather than a follow along eh? ) Anyway I've put up another 3 campaigns and have tweaked a couple. Still in the negative across all offers. I also grabbed a membership to BoxOfAds to see if I can maybe use it to get a better feel for what works on offers landing pages and targets. So far it looks good, a bit overwhelming and confusing at first to navigate but once you get the hang of it there is definitely some gold there. I've got a whole bunch of stuff I want to try but it will have to wait till tomorrow as its late and I gotta sleep some time

Awesome awesome, its great to see you're constantly progressing man. Quick tip is that you can simply install the Adware on a VM and spot all the ads you wanna see for free as well but boxofads does make the process a bit easier

Nice to see you're using cpvlabs, as you know most PPV campaigns always end up in the red when beginning, but you can really turn it around when you cut 90% of the urls haha

Best of luck buddy!

Thanks man. Actually, what led me to buy BoxOfAds was exactly that. I got the clickpotato bar installed in my VM, but popups were coming at far too slow a pace for my liking, so I started looking for ways to automate, and I found BoxoFAds. CPVLabs is definitely awesome, I'm hopeful that I'll at least start getting some conversions soon... as of yet I've got a total of 3 conversions across about 8 campaigns... not too good I'm learning a ton every day though, so I'm happy with my progress.

So I've been busy building lots of campaigns and I'm testing out all sorts of angles. I am still learning alot about angles, and demographics, and copy, and improving my consistency between targeting a demo with the right landing page and offer combo. Still haven't turned a profit yet, but my losses are getting a bit smaller every day

Yup, I've kinda scrapped this thread and went with a more specific follow-along, you can see it here: http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...re-PPV-Madness
