Well this kinda sucks.
Not sure how long its been but i just went to check my stats and my CPV lab install wont load up.
CPVLAB.com is down so i'm guessing the script has a callback to their server and since their server is down all of our installs are breaking?
anyone else noticing this?
Mine is functioning ok.
same here... from BH :
CPVLab is having issues with their licensing server today.
Admin login are unavailable on all of our servers at the moment because the CPVLab license server is offline.
Ah, thought it was just me.
Redirect links are working fine, just cannot access anything in the backend.
Interesting, I wonder why mine is working fine.
Definitely down, pissing money away. Or do the redirects work?
back for me, yeah redirects were working for me.
holy shit. so I'm paying to have a self-hosted version of CPVLab... and then if they're server goes down ALL my stuff goes down?
If this is true, that's a game-changer and a reason to immediately go back to Prosper202 self-hosted.
I cant comment as to whether or not redirects were working, i freaked out and paused all my stuff when my login wouldn't load and it's back up now.
can anyone from CPVlab confirm?
I had conversions during the "down time" and I was looking at my logs.. those were correctly called : GET /base2.php?id=1
so no money lost, only no stats, no changes could be made....
Mine is down too but I think its due to beyond hosting changing their servers. Ice got to update my name servers.
I checked my redirects during the downtime and they worked, and I was getting sales also. Everything has been back up on my end for an hour or so now.
BevoMedia FTW. Atleast you know when your links aren't working, neither are some of the world's top sites'. They are with AWS.
So basically confirmed rediretcs were still working during the downtime ? Would be great to get a reply from CPV. Personally I experienced a loss in CR during the night, don't know if it's due to CPV or campaigns just performed poor or the mystic monday fact
CPVLab boys: Suggest you do some kind of 'cached' checking for license, i.e. look at last time of license check, and if license server is down, and days since last confirmed check < 2 days, still allow GUI login. When days since last license check >5 then lock out user.
That should allow plenty of time for license server black outs, dns changes etc. and not piss off all our your users!!!
My tracker (admin) was down too... Apparently trying to login to admin panel for CPVLab caused php overruns, freezing up server. News to me that my self-hosted app was anywhere reliant on their "licensing" servers.
Tried hitting tracking rule, had huge response time lag... Lasted about 30-45 mins total.
BH was helpful, said nobody else was having issues beyond login to admin panel... CPVlab support blamed it on firewall change.
Definitely need a workaround for this potential for DDoS or worse crippling of CPVLab users...
Glad I have been using prosper the past few days.
License though should just be to get stats, it shouldn't have shit to do with your redirects or they'd be slower having to connect to his server.
