Email/zip submit offers!

Hi Guys,

I am new to affiliate marketing so though will start will easy converting offer, i have been running few email/zip submit offer using a landing page, this is how it looks http://www.rewardscamp.com/campaigns...lc/LP1_TV.html and i have been running this on gaming and coupon related targets on trafficvance for about 10 days now.

I have spent about $500 and made about $400. so i have not been making any profits yet.

Please let me know if i am doing it right and how can i make profits out of it or should i try something else.

Thanks

How're your stats (CTR, CR)?
Somehow the lp looks boring. Try changing the background color to a bright color like yellow or orange. Try showing your visitors what they could win (add pics of iPads, iPhones etc.), try adding sound to increase your CTR.

The angle you are using is pretty good.

Can you give us some stats ( email sub CR , LP CTR , Offer Payout etc ) .

As ibanez said , sound is a big one for these type of campaigns.

Calling out user's city is also worth split testing.

Are you weeding out non-converting targets yet?

Making $400 from $500 is not bad for a start, you should
be able to make this profitable easily I think!

How did you create your LP, may I ask? Very interesting.

Yup, also think the LP idea is pretty sweet!! Think the background should be a nice green like a gaming table... bring on the stats!!

Here are the stats: I got 48612 views, 1056 clicks and 198 conversion. I was running four offer on the second page, avg payout is $2.
I was bidding at $0.01 on gaming related targets, I found gaming targets cheaper with good volumes.

@extremesg: that a good idea, i will try and make it look like a gaming/gambling table.

@epicskillz: yes i was removing non performing targets. but i had about 250 targets and i was letting those run which got less than 100 views with no conversion.

@bbrock32 & ibanez: Thanks, will try and mention prizes on the first page itself and try to call out users based on their city.

thanks for posting the stats clove.

A ctr of 2% is really to low for a email/zip submit in my experience.

Its an awesome angle so I am not sure why ctr is so poor.

I would add in some social proof - like pictures of previous winners and how quickly they guessed their ace.

Are you monitoring the click throughs on the different offers?

Maybe som eperform better then others.

Cheers

Does the contest look to easy to believe it for real? Can that be a cause of low CTR?
Or should i also remove gaming related targets and try gambling or some other type or targets?

i would say your so close to profitability try and optimize ctr and cr and get profitable
testing new targets then becomes a lot easier

I think a good variable to test would be how many cards they click to get the ace. I bet if you said they get 2 chances and served up the ace on the 2nd click people would feel more lucky and more likely to claim their "prize". five chances is too much. My 2 cents.

i don't know how literate your audience is with the computer but i imagine most people just click in and see the offer.

what if you make the links goto a new window, some people will be like: "sweet, i can claim all these prizes" and you might get more than 1 conversions per visitor

just a thought.

oh, and you could also try having a BIGGER prize they they beat the best score, as per the social prove idea above
