I know it use to be one of the best things you could do to increase engagement and CTR, but recently there have been a few case studies where when audio was added it decreased the CTR.
What has your experience been?
I would say it always depends on the offer/vertical..the best way to find out is by doing a simple split test
I always split test adding audio on my lps and it works better on offers that appeal to younger demographics.
For example when promoting email submits , mobile offers , coupons it can work wonders.
However I noticed it lowered my conversion rate when promoting financial offers ( credit reports , loans ) and edu.
I can show you a simple way to split test it if you use P202.
agree
for me even offers in the same market and demographic can respond very differently.
what i have found though is where I need to build credibility & trust to sell, audio seems to perform less well if its lengthy like a spoken setence. simple sounds effects like a beep to draw the users attention sometimes still work for these markets.
Thanks everyone for your response. I am running a coupon offer on TV and have only been able to make the campaign profitable with one target. LP and direct linking seem to perform the same, so I was hoping to try something to increase the CTR on the LP. I think I will have a few audio clips recorded and try it out.
LI and TV, they allow audio on lander?
what about autoplay videos?
They allow audio on the lander as long as the pause / stop controls are clearly visible on the page.
