ah Polar, you stumbled upon Agora Publishing and all their various companies. They predate the internet, and did a lot of direct response lead gen for their newsletter, but now they're mostly online based (I think).
Their model is ->Free Report -> Subscribe to low priced tier newsletter ($99 a year, say) -> Subscribe to higher newsletters (4 - 500 a year) -> bombard subscribers with more low tier newsletters and rinse and repeat.. I get a few of their low tier stuff and it's ok, but there are better financial newsletters out here.
