Facebook -> Silver Path

I would like to know if anybody has had any experience with sending traffic directly from a facebook app or lander to a co reg path (using FB ads).
Is this allowed or can this put your ad account at risk? Cant find any reliable info. Thanks.

If you do this and you don't cloak, you will lose your account. There are plenty of people here who have lost their account doing this exactly! With proper cloaking it can be done on a massive scale though

Facebook is probably some of the best traffic you can buy for coreg. It allows you to target thousands of angles as a hook before you send the user down a path.

Got on the list, thanks.

How would you guys do it if you didn't want to cloak?
I am considering : Facebook -> opt in -> Mail with link to path that uses personalization to pass the parameters to pre pop the reg form -> User enters mobile only -> SP Path.

Is this the best method?

I guess that would depend on your angle / offer. I imagine you would have quite a bit of attrition loss. Depending a on cpc, I'm not sure if you could make that profitable unless you are remarketing with auto responders.

Yeah using a high perceived value gift that only gets delivered after the confirmation -> path is completed. Plus future AR promos as well.

I'd be careful cloaking FB to coreg, I've heard of guys getting in a little bit more trouble than just getting their account banned.

Not to mention a lot of the short codes the networks use forbid FB traffic, so try not to kill the few good SMS codes still out there for the rest of us. Thanks.

Yeah sounds like a a big avoid overall.

We forbid facebook spam as that's against FB's terms and conditions and will get shortcodes nuked, but from what Jarad12 mentioned it was actually facebook ads he was running which is fine. So if you can cloak, go for it.

Thanks for the confirmation. Yes i was approved for above board FB ads -> email conf -> mails -> SP which I understand is acceptable.

I didn't know you could use this method.

So you are sending the user to a sign-up page, then onto an email confirmation. They are sent an autoresponder, from that autoresponder they go to the SP path which is prepopped with the info they filled in on the sign-up page??

I'd be interested to know how you get on with this...
