Yeah I'm confused - I thought AppNexus only allowed large ad networks and agencies into their RTB platform

Did you connect your bidder to their inventory? Or whether it's their whitelabel console that you're using?

caffeineclicks, following up - can you please put more light into this? It's very interesting to know how you got your DSP connected to their inventory.
Btw have you also got green access to all the major exchanges and SSPs through AppNexus with in the same time? (platforms they are connected with like Pubmatic, Right Media, OpenX, Rubicon etc etc.)
Please share your experience if you can.

There's no easy way..
But there are a few platforms connected who can let you access it through them, you'll have to have $$$$$ tho.
But they won't risk you running anything shady, or they jepordise their relationship.

Currently I am doing marketing for a binary options trading broker, nothing shady there, budget is not a problem.
Can you send me a pm with these platforms?

When I was planning to work with AppNexus, they replied
"We typically look to work with partners managing about $100k a month in programmatic spend.... but you also can gain access to AppNexus through the A6corp Network."
Hope this helps.

We use AppNexus at PremiumCPM. The minimums to get onto AppNexus are steep for up coming businesses. But they are a great company and the platform is great. We also work with LiveRail, Google AdX and OpenX as well as a vast selection of direct campaigns.

the kind of relationship everybody has with AppNexus is usually either love or hate depending on expectations. Quite expensive for newcomers and very strict rules -> no non-compliant shit. I prefer Mopub, Google Adx in terms of quality and volume.

AppNexus is not really geared toward "typical" affiliates and their compliance requirements are very high (and understandably so, given some of the placements they work with). Their "minimum spend" requirement has now become less strict, but there is still a $XX,XXX setup fee and monthly maintenance fee, and their preference is definitely with agencies that have Fortune 500 clients. You definitely will not be able to just sign up and get started ... they will want to vet you quite carefully.

Cmdeal is correct. Cost us $XX,XXX for Onboarding Fee and Monthly spend for technology fee $X,XXX. It's a 4 week training program and took us about 3 months of vetting.

You have to be uber compliant with app nexus? I was going to sign up bc I thought the opposite was the case?
On whatrunswhere I only see app nexus running the stuff that you can't get approved anywhere else. Facebook type banner, "you won" "you are the 1000st customer" with borders blinking in all directions and linked to some shady offers.
Ads are recent...

Ok, quick question: does AppNexus allow you to run with unapproved brand logo's?
(doing sweeps, so i love using brand logos', but to run them on google, you need a form from the brand owners to get it approved)

I really don't think this is the right platform for you.
If you want to spend your money testing what they approve, then you can certainly try, but the answer will most likely be no.
You do need to pay for every ad you submit for approval, and just the ad approval fees alone can run in the $XX,XXX per month range on AppNexus if you are testing lots of variations.

The creative approval process through DSPs is usually on a 'per-exchange' review. Google T&Cs are usually the authority within programmatic.

That would be through an account that has had the approval requirements lifted.
This can be gotten after buying high volumes.
