I joined STM about a week ago. Honestly, I used to open STM sales pages almost every day before actually paying, I think I memorized the whole thing.
Bit about me. I have been a part-time blogger making some monies from the last few years (3). I finished college last year so I started spending more time on the blog. Weird thing, time spent on the blog increased but the earnings didn't. I had given AM a try before, a year ago I guess and made around $1000 before jumping ship coz I thought the work was too much (and coz of the exams). Well, it isn't this time so I am fully committed to this. Started again a month ago (lunched first camp. 2 weeks ago) and haven't had much success yet. Atleast not consistently.
I started with FB but they retroed my best ads and then busted my account so I figured I would give PoF a try before going full-on into FB again. Might as well learn a ton of stuff at fraction of a cost. Not to say I didn't try making new FB accounts but they get flagged as soon as I put in the payment info. Made a couple new ones and I am letting them age before I start advertising with them. If you can help getting new accounts, would be superb.

Which brings us to today. There just isn't much volume for the campaigns that I ended up making profitable. Also, these figures aren't accurate to the decimal but approx. values. So, if I target high volume, I end up losing money and if I make a profitable campaign, there isn't much volume. Ofcourse other people are killing it on PoF, I am yet to find the magic sausage.
This is where I am at:
Low Volume - High CTR
High Volume - Low CTR.
Trying to find something in between.
For my profitable campaigns, I got .6% CTR if I Day-part but it since it was still making profit, I let it run with varying CTRs.
Screenie time.

Can't get the FB screenie but the CPC was on that was .18 and declining. with .18% CTR and 1 million estimated volume across various ages. Die Facebook. Sad thing is, the images were clean :'(.
Why did I join STM?
Quite honestly, I joined it coz Mr. Green. Where are ya mate?
I have been reading his blog from from about 18 months and love the writing with occasional jokes and all. Also love Angry Russian's guest posts over there. Before starting with AM again, I read MrGreen.am and STM blog page by page. Sorry guys if I messed your stats. I must have kept both blogs open for like a week
.
Will be updating this follow along.
You got banned after running for 3 days on FB?
It is a 1.5 year old $2K spend account. I spent some $600 over there last year. But yeah, after 7 days - not 3. I drove like 3000 clicks in a day though so I think they must be investigating high CTR, high clicks ads often.
you should probly stick to one verticle and network.
Created 4 campaigns today and put only one creative inside one of them. Damn.
It still got .08% CTR but no conversions
Day 13
Spent: $22
Revenue: $11.30
Two of the campaigns were profitable. 1 didn't have enough volume and one didn't have enough creatives.
I'm curious if you had success with Facebook why not keep trying? There are numerous ways to do this.
Also what johnaff said you jump from campaign to campaign. Stick to one vertical and one offer. Offer doesn't work switch offer. You can profit off of any vertical just need data.
Finally got something with volume and ads that people actually click on PoF.
Day 14:
Spent: $27
Revenue: $30
I also found my landing page skills need overhauling.
Arite. It was a big headache managing all these micro-campaigns with $30 spread across 20 different campaigns. I paused those and finally started to target US. I figure if it is competitive, it is competitive for a reason. Further, you can't learn anything from a campaign getting $1 worth of impressions.
Dove in, choose an offer. Targeted US Males and added some other ninja targeting
Day 15
Spent: $50
Revenue: $29
Not bad since about 80% of the ads didn't get any clicks but 20% got .4 CTR.
Day 16
Spent: $120
Revenue: $210
Day 17
Spent: $40
Revenue: $120
Day 18
Spent: $90
Revenue: $310
This campaign has a lot of potential for scaling. I haven't even targeted females yet.
