One thing that sucks is that High CTR doesn't always convert as well as a little bit lower especially if you have to bring the advertiser quality leads.
@dantheman: exactly what I am experiencing.
is it possible to see some examples of high ctr dating ads from facebook? they don't have to be currently working but just to get an idea of what sort of things to look for that stand out for ctr
I presume you use 'basketball' related keywords for such a campaign, but what kind of reach do you get that can still maintain a CTR that high?
Also, when you're starting such a campaign, do you initially break down your demo into age groups like 18-20, 21-23, etc.. , or just do a wide 18-30 for the initial test?
@Mugga
I know what you mean, and this campaign was one of those.
As for ringtones though, i would def give it a test. It's pretty much a 'sale' when someone enters their PIN so not much to worry about quality unless i'm missing something.
@dan
Yep, a lot of the time higher CTR will lower your CR, but not true all the time. For daily deal campaigns i noticed this a lot. I try to balance a high CTR image with an amazingly well instructed body copy. I literally instruct the reader about the next steps to complete the lead
@tizzledizz
Dating is one of the niches i haven't ever done well with. I do know it's very hard to hit just a random high CTR. You have to get an angle together and match the angle with an image. ie: japanese girls to men who like japanese girls, and images of good looking japanese girls. Diving directly in and targeting all men with a hot blonde won't work.
@nick
I did. I managed to get 6.2 MILLION reach with my basketball keywords and still got that high CTR. It was a shame i still couldn't get it to convert.
For the initial test i always start wide, and then will always cut age groups to 3-5 year gaps.
What steps did take to make those images in Photoshop? When you have a chance anyhow..
There is this guide here

But there appears to be some differences. Just trying to find a step by step guide for modifying images to make them more appealing.
