I'm getting started sending traffic to some in house coreg offers and I need some insight before I dump a shit ton of money into this. I have already got CPVLab and Beyondhosting set up for tracking purposes, now I need to decide on the landers.
My current landers are geared for PPC traffic and are full sized, so when they come through as a pop-up a lot of the pertinent information is cut off. I have 50 or so LP currently. So the way I see it I have the following options.
1) Leave the LP as they are. (Not likely, pissing away money)
2) Create standard LP that will send traffic to my main offer page (Fairly Easy to implement and easy to modify)
3) Create Pint Sized versions with of my original landing pages (complete with co-reg fields) that would open in a full size window after submission and send the user down the path. (A tad more difficult to implement and modify as I would outsource this, terrible with code)
Can anyone offer some insight for me?
What many people do is resize the window on load. PPV networks don't really allow resizing, however, people do it using cloakers or just bait and switch.
I read some stuff on the window resizing in the forum earlier, Looks like the general consensus is the scripts don't function very well with the pops from LI (which I am using). How would a bait and switch work in this instance? The window size is not dictated by my lander, that comes straight from LI.
Let me know if you are able to resize the window on LI.. I don't think it works. Ia just adjust my lander to their 800 x 600
i'd be careful with the window resizing. Trafficvance will ban your account and I'm pretty sure LI doesn't like it either. Things like resizing and entry/exit pops help conversions big time but they also will get you shut down.
Thanks for the replies guys, but we are getting a bit off track. I ruled out window resizing before. The three options I have now are the only ones I'm considering. I plan on pushing a lot of traffic, so I don't want to bend the rules with any of the traffic sources.
You just have to contact your Leadimpact Account Specialist and tell him to make the pop-up bigger.
Write to him:
"Campaign: iPad...blablabla
Please upscale the pop-up window to 1000x800 px"

In regards to CTR, do you think a full size popup will get less clicks than their standard size?
so I have now a lander for LI which is doing much better... now I want to maximize the second page... what code does everyone use? compatible for safari, chrome, ff, and ie? I have tried some and usually it only works for certain browsers but not all. need an all in one.
Did it worked out for you?
