I've never really taken advantage of these heat map trackers. Have you optimized your campaigns using them before?

I get the feeling clickmaps and such are only really useful for real websites, product/company pages and such. If you have a lander with one main CTA you know where they're going to click, since pretty much everything else on the page is irrelevant.

Yes, I have used ClickTale and CrazyEgg on more robust landing pages like flogs/review sites and such, the data is awesome to play with. Like Zeno said though, simple landers with just one call to action really wouldn't benefit too much.
I have some mobile LP's that I think this would be great for.

I've used them for years. Clicktale and CrazyEgg. The thing i like to do is run a heat map on visitors, see where they're clicking the most and then focus all my efforts on optimizing that area. By changing a word on the most used call to action link you can make CTR and conversion rates go through the roof, or go to the toilet.
It's much more efficient than just blindly optimizing your page. You may be optimizing an area that no one even looks at or clicks on.
