still cost $49 to join the beta version?

06-14-2012 09:56 AM #4 tijn (Moderator)

Yeah looks like it.

It would be good if we could get some more info here, like a video walkthrough which gives a sense of the functionality and features as well as the volume of ads available.

thanks guys, I've passed this on to Rob (the owner) video etc is in the pipeline

great. Any data you could give on volume of ads & impressions, maybe some stats on the top captured ads?

Haha. You can't smoke just ANY software through in STM without being scrutinized by the mods eh....

Gotta bring a quality product

06-22-2012 04:26 PM #9 mobadspy (Member)

@falcon - thanks fixed

@ytcpanetwork - $47 yep I make no appologies for that. I don't want tyre kickers or time wasters on the beta and charging for beta's is a business model that never did MS any harm

@tijn - these are ish numbers and change by the minute: 100,000 ads, 5,000 advertisers, 1,000,000 landing pages, 7 countries, 3,000 placements

@joejoechen - i would expect nothing less!

@google - not had any requests for refund yet

I saw a bit of traffic coming to the site from here so thought I had better sign up and answer any questions directly.

Cheers
Rob

Do you have ads based on carriers, handset models, os, etc....

06-22-2012 05:15 PM #11 mobadspy (Member)

Based on handsets on wifi traffic at the moment. I have always found if I can get a campaign profitable on wifi then there is a HUGE amount of cheap volume and far more opportunities to optimize once you move to carrier traffic.

We have started experimenting with capturing carrier data in the UK and it is going well so will definitely be part of the product in future as will be more countries.

Signed up, it looks promising. Seems a bit slow sometimes, but I'm sure this will be fixed.

Trouble with wifi is you get 90% brand advertisers. If you can figure out a way to get rid of those ads, then you got something.

I wouldn't say 90%, but it is high. The benefits far outweigh having to trawl through branding ads since there is more generally more volume and it's cheaper. I also think it's important to know what people are seeing a lot of so you can design your ads to be different.

Hey Rob,

any idea why mobadspy still shows english banners even if I've filtered Germany only? More or less I always see the same banners doesn't matters what country I select.

Anyone?

06-29-2012 04:06 PM #18 grindhard (Member)
