Hey guys just wondering if anyone is still doing amazon affiliates. I know it was really popular several years ago before I got into CPA. Seems like it could still be profitable. I mean the payouts are not amazing but I personnaly think I could make it work with the right traffic. What is the prevailing opinion on amazon affiliates? Also would it be a big job to setup an amazon "store". Kinda like an ebay store where I have a page of all the products im promoting in a certain niche and i can direct link people to that page where they have the option to purchase any of the products in this niche that might strike their fancy. Then again I think to myself this angle must have been used for years and possibly played out/ not worth the work. I was hoping to get some feed back from someone more experienced then myself. I am currently working hard to break into mobile but an amazon store could be an interesting side project.
Thanks in advance for ANY feedback!!
I do some Amazon with FB pages.
Build a fanpage in whatever niche using paid traffic and then post Amazon links to the FB newsfeed. People say commissions are low but it's not hard to get to 8% which isn't bad.
Plus you can hammer them over and over. I have some pages that are over 1 year old and still make some sales here and there.
Good Luck!
There are a bunch of people I know that are still doing it, and I'm coming into a lot more contact with publishers still making money off it - especially with some of the internationalization I've been doing lately. In certain countries, it's really the only affiliate program open to them outside of clickbank.
Amazon is ok with paid traffic?
My SEO site is making a small amount of money with amazon, but it's low because the % on sales is very low. It makes a little with free traffic. I have no idea how you could make it work with paid traffic, or why you would try, it seems there are better opportunities out there...
As far as I've heard they are OK with paid traffic, but that does not account for the fact that their program probably won't return enough due to the %'s they offer.
