New Facebook Account. What Do You Think My Chance Are?????

OK so my Facebook account got slapped 2k/day account which sucks

Anyway today I have set up a new account, below is how it has been set up. I would be interested to know if people think it will last:

* My girlfriends FB account/long term account

* In my girlfriends name

* New business card on a new account not related to my FB account in my girlfriends name

* Same IP, Same postcode (zip)

Basically I figure just because my account is banned, it shouldn't mean my gf shouldn't be allowed an account????

In the last account I was pretty compliant no cloaking of BS or anything like that. it was all dating and I had the account about 2 year, I think I just pushed the envelope a bit too much, with images resubmitting from images they kept disapproving.

The thing is I could of run it 100% compliant was just being greedy and wanted to get tits through and ramp up my CTR.

With this new account I will be keeping it 100% compliant, ie compliant images, compliant offers.

So I guess the question is what do you think my chances are, and how long will it last if I behave ?

Based on my calculations I would say roughly 2. 4 months

Why not try talking to FB about your original account and explain all of those things?

I just talked my way into getting my account re-enabled on a "dont be uncompliant again" basis.

They do have the tendency to ban first, ask questions later. But if you actually put up a reasonable argument, act like you got massive balls (like $1-2mil per year sized balls), ask to meet at their headquarters or jump on a call to discuss how you can resolve the dispute together, then you just might find them to be semi-reasonable in the end and reapprove your account.

If you are really intent on staying clean and keeping compliant, then I think this a much safer way to do it. And you won't have to keep worrying about getting the ban again, as long as you are staying safe... which, admittedly, on FB, is a pretty f**king hard thing to do.

I tried that, they are completly unreasonable. After back and forth emails for 2 weeks they finally agreed to re open my account, at which point they did not and just completly ignored all my future emails. Plus your account will be flagged and they will give u a hard time for the future. Also they will notice your IP is the same and ban your GF's account pretty quick imo. From what I heard your best bet is to make an account under a differnt IP and credit card.

Ok so I have sent them a pretty lengthy email trying to get my account back. I said that I would make a massive effort to 100% follow their terms and mentioned I was in a position to be spending the $2000 on a daily basis whilst remaining completely compliant, I also mentioned I was working with some $xx,xxx+ Adwords clients who had expressed an interest in advertising on Facebook and this was going to really hurt my work with offline business clients, which is true, hopefully their reply will be positive, although I am not holding out much hope.

Wish me luck

Facebook are as bad as Google when it comes to customer service. Unless your surname is Nike, or Samsung, or Adidas... they will shaft you in eternal circles around nobodytown.

You can try to grovel... but how successful that is will depend on how badly you were pushing the envelope. If you were using known underhanded tactics, the kind designed to slip under their radar, then I don't think they're going to want to do business with you. In a best case scenario, FB goes to shit on the stock market and they start to think twice about permabanning so many willing spenders on their platform. In reality, however, we're small fish. They're probably not going to care either way for a $100-$1000/day campaign.

As for the new account that you've setup... I highly doubt that it will last.

Not only is a new IP required, but you need to think about replacing the server, IP and whois information for any website you regularly link to in your ads.

If the account ever gets flagged, I don't think it'd take much for Facebook to link your girlfriend's account to your own banned account. I mean, they're a social network, right? You're probably listed as 'in a relationship' in their own database!

Keep it 100% clean, move your landing pages to a fresh new server/domain/IP, and then pray for FB to take a pummeling on the stock market. Maybe investor pressure will change their tune!

Are you aware that your girlfriend may end up losing her personal account too? What's more important, did you tell her? Last thing you want is having your account banned and your girlfriend dumping you all in the same day, haha.

It's not usual, but it might happen.

Do you actually lose your personal account when your advertising account is banned?

Not in my experience. I can still log in to all my accounts that got banned in the past. This includes family members accounts and fake ones.

If you want to stand a chance of keeping this account, STOP doing what you're doing now. Get a new home ip, server ip, and get new tracking/landing page domains. You probably shouldn't even use the same computer. If you know how to create a virtual machine, that's an alternative.

I don't know if any of this will help as you've already broken several rules, but your account will get banned very soon doing it the way you are now.

If that's the case, then I would stop using your GFs account right now and get to work creating a new one. Either way you're starting back at $50. If you want to keep your new account then do everything you can to make it look unique - including a new VM or computer.

Cheers guys, it just sucks I didn't even think I was doing anything wrong originally, I was trying to keep it clean.

I have set my landers and tracking up on new domains and new card in the gf's name, the ip and address are the same but the way I was thinking was, just because my ad account is banned why would that mean my girlfriend couldn't have an account, I mean if they want it verifying its not an issue, will just see how it goes I guess.

I am still trying to get my original account back so will just see what happens.

@Finch, you mentioned changing the "server/domain/IP". Which server should be changed and why? I wasn't aware that a web server itself for example, would give off footprints.. I was wondering if the web host would be looked at, although it seems like a larger one would be safer.
