Keep an eye on Google+

I know I know - your thinking - "here we go again....isnt google+ dead?"

My gut feel is that it might be making a comeback.

Now there is this fancy info graphic doing the rounds with 20 reasons why.

But that is not what Im talking about.

Ive been looking into g+ hangouts and just realised two important things:

1) google+ apps can interact and work with Hangouts (ill show you what I mean)
2) you can now live broadcast & record to youtube

So what?

Well....

Just think -> social + games + charoulette style video chat!

Google+ Hangouts have a bunch of apps. Like shared document viewing & drawing.

And screensharing!

Youtube broadcasting + hangouts + apps = gotowebinar should be worried!

It has "overlays" like special effects

So you can combine all of this with games.

Table football anyone!

You can see the video here

Anyway - its very early days. But the innovation thats possible because of the social infratsructure + apis that google provides could just result in a recovery of google+

Oh and here is that info graphic

That's why they created Google+

They could never serve a single ad on google+ and still monetize the data they collect by introducing accurate demographic targeting options on adwords/admob. IMO, that's their long term play with google+. The writing was on the wall as soon as they started "consolidating" all their services and privacy policies a few months back.

I think they will just display the Google Adwards ads there. nothing new. cause we can see Google's ads in our personal email pages. So why not in Google +????? LOL
