where to start campaign targeted at women
Hi,
I have products that have most buys by women. I've been looking for places where I'd be able to reach female audience mostly. Any ideas?

Facebook and POF obviously. For media buys it just takes some research on Alexa, Quantcast and Google AdPlanner. If you're willing to do some extra work you could also look into driving some organic traffic from Pinterest as well.
What type of product is it?

thank you for your answers! is it possible to target at females exclusively? what products would you use to attract their attention? (showing shoes on pinterest will make them more curious about the profile). anyway... it's a financial product and I wont be able to use it on facebook. @razzbot: thanks for the tips about the tools.

Why not? Is it already banned on FB? What about cloaking?

That's failure mentality... you need to take risks regardless of its degree of difficulty. If you want to grow as a business and as a person the defeatist mindset of "i don't want to fight w/ x, y, and/or z" won't help you grow, it'll keep you at the same level.
Why not try it out at a small scale, stick within the guidelines and grow as you learn how to work with the traffic source?

Taking risk if it's worth it is perfectly fine (see my avatar), but you must be reasonable. I observe people who try that and TBH - I dont wanna waste my precious time on something that fragile.

It really depends on what you are offering. If you're offering something of value and it is within the guidelines, ignoring Facebook = leaving ALOT of money on the table.
POF might be your best bet.

that's the point. It's of a great value but it's not in accordance to the guidelines
