Rejuvenating Campaigns

How do you guys rejuvenate your Facebook campaigns?

I have one that was doing quite well but my CTR has dropped quite a bit and for some reason, making new campaigns / ads isn't helping much (even with images that look like they should kill it). The CTR / CPC always ends up about the same. The first 2 weeks my CPC was around 0.14 and now I can't get lower than 0.24. Kinda sucks.

Perhaps the offer is just over saturated? The demo is pretty large though (5m+) so so I can't imagine that it is.

Try segregating the campaigns into interest pockets - i.e. take current campaign, cut the interests list into 3 parts, make new campaigns for each block. In a similar way to duplicating ads/campaigns, if people are in multiple blocks they now see your ads from multiple campaigns, reducing the number of impressions from any single ad before they click (so CTR of one ad may go up, tho others might go down). Bonus = you may find certain interest pockets giving higher CTR/CVR.

Are other people still running this offer on FB? If so, then it's not the offer that is over-saturated as affiliates are still making money from it. I wouldn't have thought a 5+mil demo would run out that fast, if at all.

I've been running 300,000 demos for 5 months now.

Next step then, get a bunch of entirely new creatives. You didn't mention that you'd changed the ad copies. I know it seems of little importance but I've seen my CTR double after changing the ad copy and keeping the same image, so I would definitely test new advertising copy. Test with a lander, test without. Test everything.

However, I don't really feel that you should need a $0.14 CPC to be making a profit. If you're not making a profit at $0.24 CPC, that doesn't suggest to me that your offer was ever converting very well anyway. Maybe try rotating your offer and see if you can't find one that converts a lot better. Or ask for a pay bump from your AM.

Also - Give us more stats and then we can help more. What offer is it?

^^ agree with what richardj said about getting entirely new creatives and ad copies. Just do a simple twist to your current campaign and change it enough that people think it's something new.

Try a completely new ad image, new ad title, new ad copy and a new or updated landing page. Small changes make big difference.

I find that even if I change the header and the bg color on my landing page, people interact with it like they've never seen it before.
If initial CTR was 25%, then over time it drops to 10% I'll change header and bg color and a few other changes and it goes right back to 25%.

Wow, that's a very good info, thank you!
I'm gonna try this!

Thanks man, I'm going to try this. This is actually a co-reg campaign for designer shoes (women). That's why lower CPCs help tremendously... I can still make a little cash at 0.24CPC but going from something like a 60% ROI to 10% is painful... just want to figure out how to keep things fresh enough to at least hover around 30% with this particular offer.

You guys have definitely given me some ideas... I will try some totally different approaches and see how they do!
