pixel and adserver...

I had a meeting with a friend who I knew he has being doing mobile and internet stuff (that's how I understood it anyway). When I went to see him I discovered that he owned a HUGE company we all know, mainly in LATAM, lol, I was like "wtf, you own this???"

Bing a really close friends he offered me the cpa rates he gives the affiliate networks. The thing is that he asked me if I had an adserver and that they needed my pixel (or pixels, I don't remember well) to integrate it or something like that, that I should have this so I could track the conversions on my server...
I din't want to look more like an ass when he asked me that so I played along.

I already talked to someone at sitescout but I din't really understand it to work for what I need... Can anyone help me or point me in the right direction?

If you use prosper202 or CPVLab you can use the conversion tracking pixel from there to give to them, the sitescout
pixel would work also but only if you were using sitescout as your adserver =P

Any pixel you give a network to place on offers gets loaded when someone purchases or signs up with YOUR affiliate
link and basically when it loads it captures some information that was stored in a cookie when the user initially clicked
the ad, and records that there was a conversion. That way you can track which ads are doing best, traffic sources, etc.

your friend owns a traffic source right? a place were you can buy media? he is probably asking you for your adserver tag so he can serve your ads on his placements, and the conversion pixel from your adserver so that they can see were conversions are coming from and optimize your media buy. What company does he own?

No, he owns the offers, he pays cpa, I would be cutting the middle man, the affiliate networks...
