AdShuffle and Adserver Advice...

Hi Guys,

i need some advice regarding using AdShuffle and Adservers in general.

It has been quite some time since using an adserver (about 1.5 years) and require brushing up on them asap. I have used Zedo and AdJuggler in the past but will now be using AdShuffle for some media buys that we will be doing.

I know that there are some videos inside of AdShuffle but if anyone knows of some 'how to' videos that are indepth i would really appreciate it!

Cheers

Rick

oh man you gotta check out sitescout adserver, has some bad ass features . http://www.sitescout.com/ad-server/

its a little bit more expensive then the competition but the competition doesnt have impression recycling which pays for it.

get in touch w/ steve over there for a demo

Hi shoent,

thanks for the heads up.

I was looking at sitescout yesterday actually but how is this better or different to adshuffle?

Also we are based in the UK and though we will be driving traffic from both UK & USA does that make any difference?

Cheers

Rick

does not make a difference were you are from. Sitescout has tiered pricing, so the more impressions you are serving the better rate you get. It starts at .08 cpm and goes down to i think like .02 cpm dependingon your volume. Now sitescout has a killer feature that the other adservers does not have, like i mentioned it has something called impression recycling. Basically you can rotate creatives within a ad tag and only pay for that impression once. So until the user refreshes or moves to another page your can set your banner to go to another banner after x seconds and then to another and then to another and the back to the first or however you like. This feature is AWESOME man and makes paying a little bit more really work it in the end.

Hi shoent, a thought that came to me about sitescout adserver or any adserver for that matter was, doesn't the adserver when using a third party adserver have to be on the publishers list of third party adservers to be approved?
I remember when i was buying media with AOL, i recall that i was using zedo at that the time and it was not on their list, so to be able to use zedo, zedo had to be authenticated or recognised as part of an adserver online marketing thingy that adserver companies paid like a yearly fee for? Or be registered with AIB something like that? I am a little rusty at the mo with this hence trying to get my head around it all again.

Thanks for your feed back.

You're right. Some publishers require that an ad server be on their approved list of 3rd party vendors. The SiteScout AdServer is approved on AOL, Google (Adwords, not ADX), 24/7 Real Media, Yahoo, and Microsoft.

If you come across a publisher on which we are not approved, just let us know. We are good with getting ourselves approved with publishers.

Anyone used the behavioral targeting on adshuffle? don't quite know how it'd do on a direct media buy?

I switched from adshuffle to site scout this month.

So far im happy... Faster interface, more phone friendly... Some cool features i havent fully utilized yet.

My container ads suck. Lol.

Seems simple once you find your workflow.

Dr.sitescout, how are you using sitescout tags on adwords?? Edit... Invite only i see .
