It's that PLAYOFFS Time of Year! - Quick! (43)

It's that PLAYOFFS Time of Year! - Quick!

Beer, Nachos, The fellas, Playoffs? What more could you want?

Maybe a little cash to fill the pockets while you watch your favourite team become victors or crumble under the pressure.

Well you guys still have some time to quickly make some money with some of the EASIEST PPV campaigns you can possibly make, and with all the variations possible it is more then possible to make your first four figure day if you quickly catch the trend.

So how do I turn the playoffs into money?

Easy.

Email submits, or Coreg if you have a coding fetish (Harder yes, but the money is probs 2x)

Here are two quick landers that I have been running:

Team Battles

Player Battles, or HYPE!

Yes, it seriously is that easy!

Now realise that the NHL is also at the play offs stage, so as of right now, you could easily have 20+ of these campaigns running and each could easily easily make $10-$50/day depending on the teams playing, and the player awareness in the public.

Simply just pop these landers over every single URL to do with the two teams, or two players, and the players the teams play for. Use Affexpert tools, scrape youtube, scrape twitter, scrape EVERYTHING the only thing you need for these campaigns is traffic

Also if you go the Email submit root, make sure you are constantly rotating the offers as scrub kicks in very quickly in this game. The best offers are of course ipad 2-3, iphones and macbooks, but do not forget NHL and NBA jerseys

Another tip is to find some Audio, simple congratulations, or something along the lines of that will add huge CTR percentage to your lander Flashing border is also another tip

But yeah, get on this one, its very possible $1000/day campaign if you do the work

Now GO GET Stackers!

thanks for this maynzie. Quick question..

Do you put these up as full pages with tracking or just quick popup images?

EDIT: figured it out....

05-28-2012 11:48 PM #3 maynzie (Moderator)

Was an image on a page with tracking on prosper

05-28-2012 11:56 PM #4 adpro (Member)

maynzie, the type that you can click anywhere and not necessarily on the button? Wont not having two sepparate buttons to click scare away some users?

05-29-2012 12:00 AM #5 maynzie (Moderator)

Didn't think about that man, I guess it didn't scare users away

Was running 62 of these campaigns, so slapping an image on a html page was the fastest way to do it Could try cutting up the lander and making the buttons really work if you wish, it might add ROI but for the sake of this campaign I didn't

This is something you should be able to take to different sources all the same.

05-29-2012 03:52 AM #11 zeno (Administrator)

I like how the lander text subtly implies you can't win an iPhone until the series is over, as your answer can't be deemed correct or incorrect until the series is actually finshed and someone has won.

Go France, this year we can't be ridiculous!

This is a tried and tested campaign angle. Its almost ever green, just change the sports and teams!

My first PPV campaign was one going after NFL teams.

Here are some screenshots of the landers from that campaign. Can be customized to suit any team

and this one was the best performing

followed by

all dynamic
randomly increasing scores
picked the teams based on keywords
countdown timers
iframed iq quiz
etc
etc

So much creativity Tom, your landing pages are awesome, thanks for sharing.

I see, I said that because usually i make a template and rotate images and button captions based on php variables. Works and I need only one page up!

Great tip, maynzie and tijn, thanks!

Now I know this is probably sacrilege to you guys who are sports fans, but to those of us who don't pay attention to sports (myself included) is there a site that lists sports schedules and teams playing? I haven't the faintest idea who is playing what and where. (or who the heck they are for that matter).

I checked espn, and a couple of other sites, but they mostly cater to guys who already know whats going on.

Tijn, you're a mad dog!

Seriously it is EVERGRREEEEEEEENNNNN

Even I am surprised at how much money percentage of my money has come from email submits overtime hahaha

05-30-2012 04:30 AM #26 redondo_im (AMC Alumnus)

What is your best source for email submits... it seems like a lot of the email submits I've seen lately are coreg paths.

05-30-2012 05:23 AM #27 maynzie (Moderator)

Email submits have always been coreg paths if I am not mistaking haha

lotta good networks out there still have them man, peerfly, w4, c2m, a4d etc

05-30-2012 06:35 PM #28 jroes57 (Member)

I must not know how to read trends correctly, cause I can never spend like more then 5 dollars on these kinds of campaigns haha

06-02-2012 01:29 AM #29 maynzie (Moderator)

Anyone been trying this and got some news for the other members here?

Trends work, period.

Just be clever about it, huge opportunities for coreg here

06-02-2012 06:11 AM #30 jroes57 (Member)

Trying it with some Coreg ATM. Low ctrs on second page

These sort of campaigns, there are 1,000,000,000's of angles you can take man!

NBA is not the only one haha, and its still the final week of the playoffs!

Think celebrities, music, politics, world news, rivals, companies etc!

Pave the way my friend!

i did with an offer targeting pacers fans during the pacers v. heat series.

had an insane CTR but just a few conversions.

currently thinking of ways to optimize for future sports related campaigns, but yeah i can see that there's huge potential here.

06-16-2013 07:07 AM #39 maynzie (Moderator)

Yeah its definitely a bit different to previous years with the lack of submits, but I'm sure people can be a bit creative with some new angles and what not, would be killer to take advantage on this with mobile right now, just have to create the right mix to make it profitable

06-17-2013 11:27 AM #40 caurmen (Administrator)

Hmm. Just thinking a bit outside the box here: a new iPad isn't cheap, but it isn't that expensive. You could run your own offer, collect emails for 60 days, build a list and then just have to give away a single iPad at the end of it.

If you built a 2,000 person list out of that, you're only adding $.30 to the conversion cost per person - and a decent 2,000 person list will make you a lot more per conversion than a zip submit.

You could even offer something more tailored to the market than an iPad: it's surprisingly cheap to buy signed basketball memorabilia, for example.

Hell, you could build the entire list on this basis: do an initial giveaway of, say, a signed basketball, then run auctions for subsequent pieces of memorabilia, or run links to Shareasale merchants doing similar things, or hook up with some Pay-Per-View sports providers...

06-18-2013 03:42 AM #41 maynzie (Moderator)

Oh yeah for sure, I've thought about that idea before but got so bogged down with other commitments and campaigns. It wouldn't be too hard to put together at all, definitely something to look at for those who have the time on their hands!

The best thing of all is you can 100% create the angle yourself, and as above ^ a 2000 person list is gonna net you some alright coin, but the thing about this angle is the volume is high and the CTR's are insane, so 2000 person list I'd say is on the bottom spectrum of possibilities. Take this a step further and put it on mobile, the cheap clicks, cheap list building hallelujah it could become a monster campaign and you're in control of everything!

List moneys = long term money

OH please keep this thread going

09-19-2013 06:24 AM #43 maynzie (Moderator)

Anyone cash in on the playoffs this year?

Any big news on sport you can cash in on too, but at the same time thats just trending topics!

Miley Cyrus twerk'd her way into the trends, people could of made some easy easy money with that!!
