Sometimes a speed limit is required to keep your sanity though. It's easy to place unrealistic expectations on yourself when you're running your own business. You've gotta be able to focus your energies in a way that isn't self-destructive - to juggle ambitions and goals with actually enjoying the moment and not constantly living in the future.
We overestimate what we can achieve in a day, and underestimate what we can achieve in a year.
Great article boss! I know I need to do that to myself sometimes too. I remember in 2010 I was expanding so fast just based on passion I almost lost control, I spent 2011 & most of 2012 optimizing what we had. We just started to expand our angel investments and branded internal companies a bit more late last month.
It's easy to run on emotional intuition vs actual though processes, getting carried away with the speed.
