Today I was browsing through cpv logs on visitors... I noticed a couple anomalies that piqued my curiosity...
1. IP 70.181.25.xxx hit campaign on POF & FB at the same date/time - 2 diff campaigns.
Is it likely that this visitor was a human being? scraper?
Is it likely, if human, to have both FB & POF open at the same time, click on the same ad within the same 60 seconds interval?
So I dug further, found some others (not same geoIP or same IP, but a couple repeats (but only one time - meaning same IP hit both offers, but not again anytime).
Any way to prevent this? I've read through Tijn's post on securing your landers... So, I get that part.
Just wondering if this is automated or manual spying, scraping, luck, or coincidence?
Maybe this is result of multiple people using the same proxy service? You might try typing the IP addresses into a search engine and maybe something will pop if it is one of those free services.
