6 Months Later - Full Time AM! (54)

6 Months Later - Full Time AM!

Let me just say that I didn't start this thread to highlight "my" accomplishment(s). I did it to give recognition to everyone here on STM because I attribute so much of it to the community.

I also want to really give a shout out to Maynzie, he might kill me cause I'm sure he'll get a million more PM's, but the kid is inspirational. Dude is 20, and wiser than most people 2x his age. The friendship with him has really taken my AM game, and overall view and take on life to new levels, as I'm sure everyone on the forum whose read his posts or spoke with him can attest to.

Anyway, enough D-riding ;-) I'll share some of the key things that really helped flip the switch with me, in hopes it'll help you achieve whatever your current goal is.

- Your Focus -

What you focus on expands, and honestly I think there's too much focus on the monetary aspect... 100/day 200/day 1000/day. I have always thought about Goals and AM in that sense also until this past month or two, and that's when things really kicked off. I stopped focusing on the money and started focusing on the process... which leads to the money in the long run... but focusing on the outcome wont get you that outcome, focusing on the process that gets you that outcome, and small chunking it, will.

- Action and Persistence -

Friend of mine says, a drop of action is worth more than a bucket of knowledge. So true. There's enough information in this forum to make you a millionaire many times over, but people aren't because of inaction.

Being persistent speaks for itself really. I can't tell you how many nights I was up till 4am talking with Maynzie trying to figure out a new way to do x, or the best way to do y. Shit got fucked up for me (offer kicked me off, invalid leads, horrible camp performance, etc..), I just fixed it, which leads me to my next point...

- No Emotion -

This is probably the biggest thing I could go on for hours about but will just sum it up. Emotional ties to something that is so volatile with up swings and down swings lead to crazy stress, unstable days, and ultimately a burn out. Remove the emotional attachment from this and everything smooth itself out.

All that said, I can't tell you how good it feels to stand up on my chair and look my boss in the face (he's really tall), and tell him I'm out. So thank you STM, Maynzie, and everyone who's contributed here for everything... truly grateful and hope I get the chance to meet as many of you guys as possible!

- Holla!
Adam

Congrats Adam. You're a champ!

Actually it's funny how I predicted you and couple other guys would be successful when joined the forums.

You can spot right away from the determination & mindset.

Keep up the good work!

Your the man Dubbsy, congrats.

The selfless way that you and many of the other members/mods of this forum are willing to reach out speaks volumes about character. I've only been here a month but its strikingly obvious that this place is of a different breed. No doubt you are paying it forward in part because of what was offered to you. Its that willingness to pay it forward that makes all the difference. You my friend are an example of that, I can personally attest to it.

So cheers again, wish you the best. How's that for D-Riding.

Wow thanks for the inspiration! Amazing advice on how to keep focus away from money and on the process!

Very happy for you mate!

Now I gotta plot and scheme to get maynzie's attention

05-17-2012 06:50 PM #11 doppelganger (Member)

Congrats Adam! It must be great to finally ditch the 9-5, that is a huge accomplishment!

No doubt, Maynzie is the man! I've had the opportunity to exchange a few pm's with him and he's always incredibly helpful.

I liked your comment about focusing on the process instead of the money. I will try to have that mindset and focus more on building a successful campaign instead of focusing on making $xxx/day.

Keep up the good work and I hope to join you in the "full time" club soon

-Aaron

You sir, are the inspiration. None of this is on me, you did every single bit of this yourself man!!!!

Hands down one of the best people I have ever worked with in my life, incredibly hard working and he made it happen for himself. This was nothing but win=win=win=win=win as Dubbsy is actually a super intelligent person so I got back skills worth their weight in gold!

Can't be happier for you Adam, was a long time coming but its finally here, and I hope you and Veronica live the travel 5 star life ASAP!!!

I think the game changer hahahaha was when he was off to Aruba with his girlfriend for a week, and he didn't wanna go anymore cos his campaigns were taking off, he just wanted to work. At that point I backed off and thought, fuck, his blood runs black now hahhaa!

Supernova buddy, Supernova!

*Applauds*

05-17-2012 11:08 PM #15 maynzie (Moderator)

Oh yeah, and no emotion!

That is a HUGE Factor in making money in ANY business you go into. Delete the emotion, completely don't lie to yourself, no emotion and let the money come pouring in

Congrats mate, I am only new here, but the positivity and support at STM is already very noticeable. Your points about inaction are well taken, time to jump in and get some campaigns up myself.

well done on escaping the rat race!

Guys... thanks so much for all the kind words and support!! Truly an inspiration to be around such like-minded and great people. Such a great feeling to know I have even the slightest impact on anyone and please don't be shy to hit me up!

This hip-hop line that always gets me amped has just been reciting in my mind all day... "Use to dream about living, now I'm living my dream" Shit is no truer than it is right now!

Life is good fellas, be grateful!

Jax, Maynzie, right now is only the beginning! This time next year...pffffff ;-) MMXII!

Congrats man, I'm full time and love the feeling. Be prepared for when shit goes sour though... that's kind of where I am ATM you get used to rockin then take a blow and it's hard to get your grip back. Congrats your success and keep driving forward Adam!

My favorite thing is being able to travel and as long as I have an internet connection I'm good to go. Remember to take advantage of that and do all you can to avoid being stuck in a stagnant location that isolates yourself from people as many Imers do!

Congrats and thanks for the great points on "no emotion" and focusing on process. Just what I needed to hear this morning. Keep rocking!

^^^ My Fav Takeaways from your post. Congrats Adam! So Happy for you Brotha!! Haha You tell your Boss what's up.

Thank you for sharing your Success Story. I personally love reading Success stories, it gives people like me more of a reason to make it happen! And the message I've been realizing this week, specifically, is....The Biggest Enemy isn't Your Competition, it's Yourself!

PS- Maynzie as humble as you are....You're still a Rockstar! So Ha!

I learned about it a couple years back, and dabbled here and there, but really became focused and committed back in November.

The biggest challenge was nothing technical or creative...it was all mental. Once I started changing my belief structure and taking action from a different place mentally, that's when I started seeing better results. It's all in the way you frame things, because nothing has an absolute meaning, only the meaning you associate with it.

So the common road blocks people have starting out (I know I did) were: getting over the fear of taking action, losing money, screwing up campaigns, missing "the next big thing", and the "I can't make this work" attitude because they're not seeing the results right away. That and riding the waves of AM. You have a great day, you're all happy and energetic! Then something goes wrong, down day, offer pulled, and you're miserable and punting puppies off rooftops (I've never punted a puppy off a rooftop, I've tried a cat once). So remove the emotional attachment.

The feedback you give yourself has a direct impact on what kind of belief you form and what action you take next. Realize that there's no such thing as failure, only results, and that regardless if you're not seeing the outcome you want, you're still learning & building the skill set required to get that outcome, will help you get over some of the mental roadblocks that you're facing.

I also tend to over complicate things and analyze and think way too much into shit, so that is something to stop doing asap.

One of the biggest things I learned from Maynzie, besides his approach to life in general, was that a simplistic system and approach yields the best results. So literally sitting there thinking, what is the absolute simplest way to do XYZ, and then doing it. People are simplistic in nature, especially the ones clicking on our ads, so just be as simple as possible with your campaigns, and watch your results improve!

Hope that helps!!

05-18-2012 11:17 PM #31 flowmotion (Member)

Thats some good shit right there. And yes, I'm also experiencing if something goes wrong with one of my campaigns, or a step back in general can cause my entire day to become miserable. It's not healthy at all.

Again congrats on your success, man. Wish you all the best.

05-19-2012 03:31 AM #32 wyffgoal (Member)

Well said Adam! I've tried once before, getting into a really bad situation caused by my emotion after my profitable campaign was pulled due to the quality.

We must really control our emotion and there is a thread Maynzie talking about how worthy it is to lose your money on learning this beast as so many other professional careers out there need more chunks to master them.

That said, never give up!

05-19-2012 03:00 PM #33 jmgraff (Member)

CONGRATULATIONS MAN! That's one hell of an accomplishment! And in such a short time too!

So literally sitting there thinking, what is the absolute simplest way to do XYZ, and then doing it. People are simplistic in nature, especially the ones clicking on our ads, so just be as simple as possible with your campaigns, and watch your results improve!
^^^ Gold right here!

You get to a point where thinking and planning and obsessing over details just keeps you from taking action. You can't control everything. Eventually you gotta pull the trigger!

I feel like IM attracts some really smart people, and that the problem isn't usually lack of thought or planning, it's waaaay too much of it.

Less thinking and more doing!

Congratulations man. This is such a great thread because it shows how real the results can be. I also enjoy it because it isn't "I made 1 million dollars in 6 months" but rather "I achieved the lifestyle I wanted in 6 months".

Congrats on your success, you have inspired me as well more than once, even if you're finally full time just right now (I thought you were already full time)
You've been wise and persistent, you deserve it, congratulations.

Also, I remember that we talked here or there in some threads and you seemed to be a great guy to connect with.
Want to laugh? My first impression was: "Hey, this ghetto boy is really nice, despite to his picture lol'
You were one of the first people I talked to when I came here and I remember I was wondering these last days "it's been a while I haven't seen Dubbsy".

Maynzie is lucky to have your friendship

I wish you the best for the coming months.
Hope you'll keep this success as long as possible.
I hope I'll be able to join the full time crew as well
