Well today I am starting my FB follow along. It will be dating and I will target The Netherlands. Not really to make me rich, but more to learn about optimizing etc.
I did run de exact same campaign in Belgium (same language) and over there it's profitable. The only problem in Belgium is the small demo, which is also seperated by two different languages. So the campaign get saturated quit fast.
To be honest. It''s not the first time I give this campaign a try. Until now, I cannot get it profitable in my own country.
The first question:
The offer is Be2. But on FB Be2 itself is advertising a LOT, so is it a good idea to promote it anyway...I think the be2 own budget is a 'bit' higher then mine. And I think al lot of men have seen the Be2 LP already. Offcourse I use a LP first, but the endstation is well-known by my demo.

I ran this a while back. Did pretty good with it but now moved on to other stuff.
Come up with some good angles is what worked the best for me.
Well, about not getting it profitable...About 1.5 year ago I did run a simple DL campaign and that one did very well. Only then Be2 didn't advertise at all on FB.
Now ( I am in the same demo as the one I target) whatever I do on FB, there is always a Be2 ad.
OK...first run.

Not a great start...
131 clicks and only 1 conversion? that seems really odd for FB. Is your ad copy/lp in sync with the Be2 page?
According to the belgium people it is. I use the same lp as i used in belgium. And it converts a lot better over there.
Men...if i could not make in work in kenia or taiwan i could understand it...but this is my own country, with my native language.
Checked my stats from 1.5 year ago...then it converted 22% Direct linked, same demo
OK, going to create a complete different LP today and check how that one is going to performe.
Due to illness I did not work a lot this weekend. Today I created the new LP and unpaused the campaign.
Until now... 31 clicks no conversions. I will update later tonight.
Well....it's not going very well...Another 120 clicks and no conversions. I must be doing something wrong.

Your LP has to much text! Keep it simple. There are lot's of good LP's on this forum you could use and modify.
Btw, you should be doing fine with DL to Be2. I did actually run this offer a couple of years ago and did very well with DL.
if would add two other offers and split test them with be2..you don't have to build a LP for the test...just direct link and rotate a couple dating offers to find the one with the most potential...130 clicks and 1 conversion is really weird..maybe the belgium market is already saturated with b2 since the advertiser is pushing his own campaigns heavily on fb

btw...I target The Netherlands...belgium did OK, but the campaign die quickly due to the small demo
yeah...1.5 years ago it did a great DL.
About the copy...I didn't translate an english copy into dutch. I just translated my dutch copy to english for the readers on STM.
About the LP...I will have to work on that.
Mixed in two other offers which do great on my seo site...So att DL to Be2 and the other two offers
Facebook and dating in The Netherlands....I don't know. My other offers also don't convert. One of them 0 conversions the other 2 conversions. CVR 0% and 1.8%.
And I know they normally convert like 20-25%
I also notice, there are no other dating affiliates active. At least, not in m demo. Only the merchants self.
Anyone noticed the following? I am in a relationship, but I still see some the datingads from the merchants...How is that possible?
OK...I left my status on Single/Interested in Women...It's evening now in The Netherlands and now all the ads are there. About 90% merchants, but also some affiliates...
Don't want to steal, but I sure can learn someting...Let's see what's ads are still there the next few days

I have a nice winning campaign. I have a nice profit, and I have the email adresses :-)
One thing...I see a lot of the same ads everyday on FB...I don't know how these guys do it...I can run a campaign for a week...and than it's over...Then I can run it again after 4-5 weeks.
And when I have fully optimized it...hit germany...Thats a nice Demo!
Are you still profiting the same offer Be2? OR Did you switch the offer?

go for micro niches like golf/tennis and micro even further by adding the cities... example "female golfer in xxx city seeking people to play golf with" i have been getting ROI from 80% to as high as 500%.

exactly between the ages of 45 and 54 inclusive
who are male
who are single
who are interested in women
who are in the category Golf
picture with green background + woman playing golf tend to have higher CTR
ads spend-> $100.63
Leads-> 38
revenue-> %209.00
tips-> this is a dried up campaign(pretty quickly since i'm only targeting 2k people)... you prolly can squeeze a few more lead but most prolly will be negative ROI. It is better to go international and don't be afraid to go after super high payout countries. You will be amazed how well they convert.

Oh yeah... there is a really good book that you should read. Ca$hvertising if you are really serious about IM. there is free download somewhere online... just Google it.

Yea i send them to Be2 but to their golf landing page...

Yea I use my own golf landing page...
I tested around 17 landing page before finding one that give me good ROI consistently... But the offer burn out rather quickly... I have been seeing conversion from Be2uk for everyday and suddenly there were no conversion for two days and my FB CTR keep dropping... Then I know for sure it is dried up... Killed it and use the exact same landing page/ad copy for other country and convert just as good... With ROI between 200-300%
A lot of my landing page inspiration comes from ca$hvertising(really good book)
My best ad copy always aim to create a mental movie in their mind using specific wording.
Eg 1) register now 2) search for a female golfer 4) contact her 5) meet her 6) play golf with her! Simple!
Or something similar...
Note that the last word "simple" actually increase my ROI significantly...
Oh yea one more point, your ad copy must be easy to read... Always break them down into smaller sentences like bite size so that they will keep on reading... Etc... Never done any test for it but It seems to work...
Last but not least, don't be afraid to go for micro niche... You may lose money because of all the testing but when you nail the right landing page, simply scale it to other country and just literally stack the money!
But, arent these niches extremely small? There arent that much countries on Be2, and not that much countries / cities either.
Just wondering or this could ever be a large enough campaign to be worth all the hassle
those niches are small... But fb CTR will be higher, CR will be higher and ROI will be higher too.
Have you managed to make any profit up til now with FB dating in NL? I have spent 250$ on FB dating ads and just managed to break even. Was promoting Lexa.nl.
