Hey Guys,
After much reading (thanks angry russian) about all things mobile, I'm about ready to start busting out campaigns. However, first I want to make sure I have the right plan of attack for tracking as I'd like to get it as correct as possible before starting.
What I intend to do is, using 1 subid, collect a string of data that will be almost the same across all ad networks I use. This should make is so that I can easily parse the data in excel (using the "~" character) and creating pivot tables. If I stay consistent across each network, it should be very easy to combine pivot tables for some good aggregate data (thank you iPyxel)
Here's how I plan on creating my tracking links for each ad network
Affiliate Link ---> Affiliate Network ---> Country ---> Campaign Name ---> Handset ---> Operator ---> Publisher ---> Site ---> Keyword ---> Timestamp ---> Ad
What do you super mobile guys think about this? Would you approach this differently? If so, how?
Thanks
We've finished Phase2 of our tracker and releasing it to MobAffs who are able to scale. Within the end of the month every active MobAff affiliate will have access.
