A very interesting video (I plan to read the article and forum threads later tonight). Thanks for sharing this, I shared it forward with my Skype group. I actually followed the thread that BenPOF (on WickedFire) says got him banned. Crazy stuff (moderation) on those IM forums.
Everything is shady always anywhere.
I've never cared for the "make money by teaching people how to make money" angle of IM.
Never cared for Kern or Filsame.
But, I'm extremely impressed with people like Deiss and Buchard who, in my opinion, actually teach something useful and actionable.
It's definitely an interesting debate. I would say the guy from wickedfire who said the first four things were "good" and only the last one was "bad" may have missed some news regarding the FTC.
Even Seth Godin tells you how to make money online:

AdrianM's brother was on there!
Nothing like a (broke) bitter guy spinning stuff in a way to make it sound like "scams"
Sounds like 6pm news on Australian TV.
Calling Frank Kern and Eben Pagan scammers is a very bold accusation. Both these guys now work with Fortune 500 companies to overhaul their online presence.
Yes there is a lot of scammy shit in the AM space BUT there is always a money-back guarantee.
Frank Kern's response towards this issue, thoughts?

I found many landing page ideas on the verge text!
very interesting video. Thanks for posting
Very interesting, Franks response was quick
The video was great, it was entertaining. There were a tonne of truths there, but it seems like they spiced it up a bit for impacts sake.
Obviously every guru is going to try to distance themselves from what is said whether they are innocent or guilty. It's hard to get anything out of Frank's response, he's always been a smart copywriter and used to writing with ulterior motives. So I'm not quite sure what to think there.
The main issue for me is that a lot of them use unethical marketing tactics. A lot of these so called "gurus" rehash a bunch of information then lure people into thinking it is so easy to make millions and only takes 1 hour a week to do. A lot of these products are so shitty as well. That's where the complaints start and people start to think it's a scam.
This causes a lot of misconceptions about Internet marketing and brings some unwanted attention to our business. Internet businesses are difficult to regulate at the moment, but I know the government will find a way to intervene and fuck shit up.
I understand where its coming from though. Easy money will tempt anyone to do anything to get it. Shady things go on in any industry you go in.
Frank Kern. I fucking hate that bloody wanker.
@philme I don't think their marketing tactics are "unethical." What makes it unethical is the fact that they're using genius marketing methods to deliver shitty products. If they delivered quality products, then they wouldn't be getting so much shit.
lol bro. why u hate frank kern so much? i've learned my fair bit seeing how he promotes his products. And i think his products are quite good (mass control, list control) but i doubt it's worth up the money they're charging. I got them from Blackhat forums. Having said that, there are MANY, TONS of trainers giving out Internet Marketing course at that price too, offline courses i mean. And their shit suck. For that same monies I'll definitely choose frank kern's shit because his is more interesting - funny guy. Just standing on a very neutral side though. cheers!
frank (and his materials) has made me a shitload of money over the years... and he's actually a really good dude.
i know most of those guys personally... and know they are not the bad guys.
the article was horribly researched and majority of it was false.
Fuk do I laugh when cpa guys hate on gurus.
Could't agree more caleb.
Has saltydroid ever been sued by these guys? I haven't come across anything yet, but I haven't really given it that much attention since it seems to be childish squabbling.
Let's face it guys... no matter we promote diet products, dating or gambling - we put a product we never really tested in a very positive light by creating 'testimonials', adding pictures from thechive / hotornot etc. to our dating ads or giving away 300% deposit bonuses which have a 10 time turnover policy. It's not scam, but it's not a 100% 'honest' too!
