Just heard rumor Azoogle is done...

I am not about spreading rumors but can tell you I just got a call from someone reliable telling me that they just had a meeting "all hands on deck" and announced they are closing.

Just heard the same news from an AM at a different network.

What? No Performinsider.com link with leaked top-secret internal infos? Pace you disappoint me.

I knew someone was going to call that one out... good job.

Why has Pace not gotten his titties in a twist over this yet?

PerformInsider is pretty much the Daily Mail of the affiliate marketing world. I expected more, to be honest.

It's sad to see Azoogle crumble. But I lost a lot of respect for them when they were spamming me up for traffic without paying their existing pubs though. Such a dumb move.

I used to love them, but unfortunately had to stop running traffic with them a year or more ago. You could see it coming.

They are taking a straight spread on everything. How did they manage to lose money?

I'm sure they got burned by extending credit to advertisors.

Networks don't get paid upfront for offers. Usually they are net-5-30-something.

Theres a lot more that goes to managing a network then just the margin. Not getting paid, litigation, FTC, overhead, the list goes on and on why a network can fail.

Well guess I won't be getting paid!

05-04-2012 01:14 AM #15 gts6 (Member)

they were dead long ago anyway in my eyes... they died about the same time threads opened about them not paying people.

this news if true would only make it "official", but theyve already been dead and it really shouldnt shock anyone

I'm pretty sure complaints have been going up for about a year - they were good. I don't think they're going under, but ya' never know. Last time I heard they were trying to go public or something to raise some capital like CX digital (look at their stock now).

I stopped running with them 2 years ago when everybody left, when the epic parties stopped being epic it was time to jump ship. All the good people are at fluent 50onred yellowhammer now.

Not looking good for them thatas for sure. They owe us from 3 month ago. Its a pain in the butt chasing them every week

Heard the same. If anyone was brokering Mindspark offers through them, send me a PM and we can go direct.

05-04-2012 07:31 PM #20 manishmehra (Member)

Which network was that and did they really closed

05-04-2012 09:31 PM #21 ndemandmike (Member)

ya a friend of mines affiliate manager told him to stop running and he would try to get him paid said it wasnt looking good whatever that means

I stopped running with them a while ago. The old "Run traffic and we'll pay you" is lame. Changing of the guard continues.

The real story.

From what I've heard.

They merged with traffic marketplace a while back. Traffic Marketplace was getting the bulk of their traffic and profit from typo domains. Epic said we can't let this continue or we're going to get sued for all these typo's. So they should them all down. In doing so Traffic Marketplace became a huge drain vs. a profit center. It then sucked all the money out of Epic and brought Epic down with it.

On the mindspark comment we have all those deals direct too around 4$ payouts and we can build you your own white labels and domains. If you're interested.

Yep jason true and also they used to make a very large amount of money with a huge network of sites where the owner was recently ahem detained but hasn't been extradited yet. A very very large amount of money but since this network was taken offline any and all campaigns that were running and profitable aren't running.

Bye Epic. Who's next?

05-06-2012 08:19 AM #26 phoenix (Member)

yep, when the 'best' rats leave the ship. Time to go.

I stopped running traffic with them after my 1st and top AM left...now at 50onred.

Made some good money with Epic. Sad to see them go down.

RIP EPIC/AZOOGLE

and I would say the next one. but the last time I did I got a C&D call. Ill let pace take the heat... he seems to love it

As much as epic is a comeptitor, I'm going to miss them. I've literally made millions as an affiliate with them. When I started EWA Network, they were my role model network. It's crazy to see how we've switched positions since then, 3 years later.

RIP Azoogle...

Mundo had acquired some of their URLs and their hosted division has moved over to our side so if you're looking for an offer that you were running with them before, we may have it. IE we launched 1-800 DENTIST last week on web and pay per call. Get in touch with your AM if interested. Keep in mind we only acquired their URLs - not their debt!
