First profitable day on POF

Yesterday, I made $4.00 in profit, Yay! Still in the red overall, but definitely a step in the right direction.

Never stop man, $4 profit is nothing to look down upon, any green is a sign that it could blow up!

Now you must just obtain a higher ctr, add in more demos for the same campaign.

Then take that campaign and scale it across multiple countries

BOOM!

Thanks for checking in on my progress. I've actually paused my campaigns for now. I kind of felt like I was bleeding money and I needed to step back and take a look at what I was doing before I moved forward. Overall stats I've spent about $2800 and made about $300 in commissions. According to prosper I've gotten around 3400 clicks, which amounts to me paying on average $0.82/click.

I've been debating how I want to proceed. I was kind of getting lost and a little bit frustrated. I would test out ads and find high CTR ads. I would then take all the high CTR ads and combine them into their own campaign and the CTR would drop on them overnight. Or I would get a conversion and I would try to narrow down my demographics to cut out the non-converting demographics and I wouldn't get any more conversions.

When I first started out with POF my intention was to create an email list. I kind of got distracted testing out CPA offers and direct linking to see what worked. Looking back I kind of wonder what would've happened if I had sent all those to clicks to a squeeze page. I know my current squeeze page has an opt-in rate of 5% so I know I'd be hard pressed to do worse than that. At a minimum I probably would've had around 150 people on my email list and then I could be testing out my follow up sequences. I'm thinking really hard about only sending traffic to a squeeze page from now on at this point.

Which kind of leads me to another thought. If ultimately what I want to do is set up and optimize a conversion funnel for email, then it might be cheaper for me to do it using PPC. I'm banned from adwords, so I would be using MSN adcenter to advertise on Yahoo and Bing. I figure it wouldn't be too hard for me to get clicks cheaper than $0.82/click with PPC. I read in another post where I think it was tijn who recommended someone checkout ARM 2.0. I purchased it and I have been going through it the past couple of weeks.

Whether I stick with POF or go with MSN I think I'm going to be reducing my budget to $150/month. I think the past couple of months I got sloppy with my spending. I don't think I was analyzing as much as I should have. I think if I limit my budget it will help me be more careful of how I'm spending it instead trying to randomly toss things at the wall and see what sticks.

That's where I'm at. I'd love to hear your guys' thoughts/opinions/feedback on any of it/all of it.
