I'm looking for an ESP that allows me to import email addresses and post emails to the list as they signup WITHOUT sending some confirmation email automatically. I've tried aweber but even disabling the 'confirmation email' option still spits out an auto generated confirmation email.. Any ESP's that won't annoy my signups with this?

This is probably more work than you're looking for, but you can use Interspire to dump contacts from forms into your database and then send your emails through their smtp.com service. No double opt-in required.
