Hey Guys,
I recently jumped into the pay per call game and have yet to figure out the best traffic method.
Any tips, tricks or tactics I should know to get me to a positive ROI?
DH
paid search, find loads of keywords, target mobile
Adwords (targeting mobile or web) with smart keyword research and the number shown in the advert.
Also PPV with smart targeting has been excellent.
I agree with both of the previous posts. Google will give you the most traffic but click costs are a bitch
so you need to constantly test ads to get the best CTR and hopefully conversions.
Traget Mobile Traffic....
I do mostly PPC.
I separate 1 offer into 4 "campaigns".
1 search engine only - no partners - desktops only
1 search partners only ( no native SE traffic) - desktops only
1 mobile only (no desktops) both search and partners
1 WAP only (mobile only no desktop)
You will pay very different cpc and have different conversion rates for each. It is worth the extra work.
Click to call via mobile wap traffic, works great.

Do you know how to track conversions to the keyword level with WAP ads?
For the first 3 campaigns described above I use Ring Revenue's "Ring Pool" feature which dynamically asigns a 800# to a keyword when a user clicks. But with WAP click-to-call, I need to " hard code" the phone number into the ad.
This is great for conversions, but at the same time I am "flying blind" because the ability to track conversions to keywords is lost.
Any thoughts on a better way to track. I have spoken to Ring Revenue - They had no idea what I was talking about!!!
Tons of numbers, several campaigns... hit 100+ conversions and RR should give you more numbers. Its still all kind of a bitch though... make sure you're dealing with a network that pays, a lot of these guys have been very very late on payments.
It's not about not having enough numbers. I track pay per call conversions to keywords using traditional pay per click.
But I don't know how to do it with WAP, if you do, please tell me and please be specific.
Are you suggesting that I assign a number to a small tight adgroup?
Thanks
^^^^ I just told you how, you told me its not about not having enough numbers. Sooooooo....
Ja!
Got it.
