FB Bait & Switch? (13)

FB Bait & Switch?

Is the "bait & switch" method the recommend way of getting your ads approved on FB?

Only reason I'm asking is because I submitted my 1st campaign over 8 hours ago for approval but direct linked the ad to the offer, wondering if that is the reason why it hasn't been approved yet.

Also what is an expectable "fake" lander for the "bait & switch" method for a "daily deal" offer?

Just trying to wrap my head around this...

Long approval times are not based on how compliant your campaign is, it's just bad timing I'm guessing.

In regards to what is a good fake lander for a daily deal offer, you could just use a e-commerce shopping site for iPads (or whatever product you are mentioning in your ad copy).

So say if my adcopy mentions Coach Handbags...should I link it first to say Coach.com and once approved...change the ad destination to my offer via direct link?

Or

Create a lander similar to Coach.com site and link to it first for approval then switch to direct link to offer?

If you are promoting handbags in the copy. just search for a website selling handbags. FB does not really care what sites, as long it makes sense. Once approved you can switch urls in prosper

If they catch you bait and switching will they ban your account immediately?

So my ad got approved this morning (6 PST) and started getting traffic, I went ahead and switch it to direct linking to my offer. Now my ad is in pending review again...is that suppose to happen?

BTW I created 10 more variation of my first ad (just changing the image) but they too are all pending review.

All this waiting sucks donkey balls but oh well...

You do not switch urls on your fb account, any changes there will be reviewed.
You switch urls in prosper, i asume you use prosper for tracking your ads.

Well, when you create a new campaign in prosper, you need to enter your offer url and payout, after approval you switch these urls and your ads will redirect to the new url automaticly. You dont need to touch your fb ads at all. Hope this helps

No, they won't immediately ban your account. I'm not saying that it's not a risk, but more than likely if they catch you later they'll just retro-disapprove your campaign.

CPV Lab is great for this as well since you can switch in Landing Pages, Direct Links, and Offers all without changing your link.
