Moving Prosper202 To A New Domain

So has anyone done it? I'm not talking about a new server, basically my domain just got listed as a 'threat' by AVG and I would like to move my prosper202 install to a new domain. I can make a new cpanel account with a new domain or just do an addon domain under the same cpanel account but I'm trying to think of the best way to change the domain it's hosted on.

Thoughts?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

if someone is manage your hosting, once bought the domain, added as addon domain, just ask the admin to move it for you

Yep , just copy all files to the new addon domain and you are done. The database will be the same.

Would changing the new domain's document root to the same one as the old domain work?

Yep , that's a smarter way to do it . Didn't think of it right awa .

Prob you could even create an A record on new domain and it would work too.

Unless you've done any major customization to your prosper install, all you really need is the 202-config.php file from your existing install, plus a backup of the database via cpanel.

Its quicker to just download from Prosper202 the install zip file again, and extract if via SSH (3 mins - vs 25 mins with FTP), then just upload your saved 202-config.php file, and import your database via phpMyAdmin. You can even upgrade to a newer version of P202 at the same time, without any issues.

I've done this numerous times - to new domains - to new servers - without issue.
