Hey guys,
I've been trying so hard. For almost a month now I have been losing money. None of my methods are working anymore. Others are doing the same thing as me and they are banking hard, But nothing wants to work for me. I have a feeling I will be out looking for a job soon
I need some encouragement, some Motivation to keep going. I am starting to seriously lose hope.
Ads on Facebook are not a problem. The problem is the offers. I was also banking hard in March, I got my accounts banned, Set up some new accounts, got my ads approved and now my conversion rates are at 3% compared to when I had 11%
EPCs are now .12 - .20 compared to .42
I honestly don't know what to do. I left my camps running hoping the results would pick back up but its useless. NOTHING wants to convert. I just don't understand.
I've tested diff pictures, diff adcopies, Exactly the same results; 3% conversion rate, .20 epc
My cpc is lower than my epc but somehow I still manged to lose $100 today

Motivation should simply be not wanting to go work another job, because if you don't make this work then thats going to be your reality.
A reality we must accept as AM'ers is that offers and campaigns will come and go, and that the numbers you see are numbers us affiliates go through every single week, that is why you can not get attached to one campaign and think its going to last forever, because it 100% wont
Maybe Facebook isn't your thing, also hearing your accounts got banned were u cloaking? Because that itself is a business model that will spiral down into the depths of 9-5 jobs haha, cloaking should never ever ever be your main source of income.
Just have to change your mindset, it seems like you are frustrated. Take 1-2 days away from the computer, go for long walks, swim in the ocean if its near by, do what you love to do get your head back in the game and come back and make a new traffic source your bitch.
Don't give up homey
This happens to all of us, every single one in this forum so you're not the first.
Make it happen bro!
I'm not really cloaking. What I'm doing is buying a domain and using the URL Redirect feature so that I am able to swap out offers to test which ones convert and then continue to monetize from there.
A buddy of mine is running the same exact thing as me. I don't understand why his results are A+ and mine suck balls. I am trying to take my mind of work though. I started going to the gym, the pool, talking with the ladies and listening to extra chill music when at work to stay calm. I am even trying to eat brain healthy food lol
My 2 thoughts: Either I'm not cut out for this whole thing
OR
I just need to refresh myself and get into that money making, hard working, determined mindset.
There is no way in hell I will be giving up in AM. I know my time will come and I will be helping out others like the pros here.
Just looking back at me working for someone is like a horrifying nightmare that I can't stand thinking about. I had a horrible experience in the workforce and I'm just stressed that my bank will hit $0.00 and my folks will tell me to find a job again. I can tell that they want to tell me already but day by day they are giving me a chance.
Hi Trust93, I usually don't share these things publicly but if it helps, I will tell you a bit of my lifestory. It might be not too much but at least a bit of inspiration.
No job cause I choose to,
28 years of age,
Have tried Real estate with no money down and many other strategy but couldnt make it work fully cause had no money,
No one would lend money,
Decided to try AM,
Tried FB and no much luck,
Trying PPV, everything is failing,
What do I have for motivation:
- hard earned cash saved up over the years,
- Determination
- Patience
- Compassion and stubbornness to make AM happen no matter what the fuck it takes.
hope that helps :-)
PS: Oh I forgot to say. And I haven't shaved since January till I make $100 a day on PPV
Getting a job is not the end of the world. You'll get more money to fund your campaigns, won't be so stressed out, and 5-6 hrs a day+weekends is PLENTY of time to work on campaigns. Sometimes you have to put your pride aside, and do what you gotta do.
Also stop comparing your own success to your friends, it's really affecting your self-esteem. They found something that works, it should motivate you more because you know what's possible. You don't understand why his results are A+ and yours aren't? Ask him, or sit down and try to figure it out.
All campaigns / offers have a lifespan. Maybe your offer just died out for whatever reason. Instead of trying to bring it back from the dead, test out new verticals and niches. Who knows, you could end up with a $1k+ a day campaign.
This is a hard business, and not everyone's built for it. But this industry doesn't discriminate. It doesn't care how old you are, your education, your background, etc. If you work hard and stay persistent, you will make it.
True, you could spend thousands on college for 3 years and get out and not work in the job you studied for.
Forget about what everybody else is doing. And focus on learning.
And change your attitude and take a tip from that maynzie kid. I would wager that a good part of his success is not his bad ass Ninja skilz but his attitude towards what he is doing.
Stay positive. If you don't make money after the length of time most people spend at college then this may not be for you.
As Winston Churchill stated in his most famous speech. "Never give up."
If the offer was converting just fine a month ago, you're seeing other people running it, and your friend is having success with the offer then where is the weak link in the chain? Just how you track every click advertisers track every lead and if they don't like the performance of a certain network or affiliate on that network they can easily start scrubbing the traffic they're sending with just a couple of lines of PHP.
It's clear that either the advertiser didn't like the quality of your leads so they started scrubbing you or they didn't like the entire network you are using so they're scrubbing all leads from that network. Go grab the links of everyone else who is promoting the offer on facebook and plug them into web-sniffer.net and follow each redirect to see which networks they're using and then go promote the offer through that same network and see what happens to your EPC.
Guys I think I figured out the problem. I was buying my domains off of namecheap.com and I was using their servers.
I showed my uncle how to buy domains as well and he called me recently and told me that 3/5 times that he clicks on his domains, he gets an error page. We came to a conclusion, how does a campaign that was killing several weeks ago just die out of nowhere?
The answer: namecheap's servers suck balls. They can't handle too many clicks so it either takes forever to load the page or just takes you to an error page. I have been getting a lot of clicks and almost no conversions because the users would click on my ad, but not see the LP; counting as a click.
I changed the servers on my domains from the default namecheap name servers to Hostgator. My epc is now at .60
I hope that this thread helps someone out. I was losing hope but my head would not stop thinking. I learned a good lesson from this.
Thanks for trying to help me out STM'ers. I really appreciate it
Thanks for sharing the resolution to the campaign epc drop mystery. Things like that have happened to me SO many times. In November my major money maker died. It took 4 weeks to realize it was because the offer page code had changed so that when it showed up in my iframe on cpv (as opposed to when I just direct linked it) the offer wasn't visible. I thought I was getting scrubbed and didn't believe my AM when he said he checked and rechecked and nothing had changed.
But I agree that what you're doing sounds not sustainable at all, so you'd better hit this thing hard, build up the bank account, and at the same time look for something longer-term.
Also try cutting down your living expenses. I'm going to try moving to Bangkok, maybe you should join...
After so much time dealing with that much stress I will definitely demolish with this camp and make some serious $$$$ on all of my FB accounts. I'll even open up a credit card and start building up my credit while making serious dough.
I will def be looking for something more long term
Glad you figured it out. 9/10 times when things go down we blame either the aff network or advertiser and the scrub, but from my experience the issue is often your own fault.
Moral of the Story: Always check everything on your end before writing things off to "they are shaving"
This thing remembers me of mistake I was made on my software few years ago. I updated the software and somehow I changed the url for the Buy Now button inside the software...i didn't know how the heck I did that. After the update my sales got down 50% and everything I tested was working... just after 3 weeks and lots of headaches, I user told me...dude, the Buy Now button inside the software is not working. I was WTF....
Like Angry Russian said: check every little shit before blaming somebody else.
ummm why the domain thingy?
why dont you just use a tracker and rotate links that way?
or am I missing something?
Nobody ever taught me anything. Buying a domain and redirecting was just an idea that popped in my head and worked
Also I wasn't blaming anyone. I was going to conlcude that this ad copy and offer were saturated and I had to look for something else. I knew the advertiser wasn't scrubbing because the advertiser loved my traffic.
I slept so good last night. No headache, no stress.... Man I love my job and always will no matter how hard it gets
ya...i agree with polarbacon...why you use domain to redirect ? you need to evaluate what you're doing now.
Trust93...Glad you cracked it!
But remember, the only thing money buys you is time. Don't rest on your laurels, or you will be back in that position again! Remember how horrible that felt and use that as MOTIVATION to never go back there again!
This campaign will die eventually, it's inevitable, so now DIVERSIFY, DIVERSIFY, DIVERSIFY whilst you're still making money and you still have time.
EXACTLY!
I have now bought some time. I will keep an eye on my campaign while learning another vertical. I can feel my creativity levels going up lol
I will be going into gaming on FB cause it seems like its a lot safer than dating, I'm hoping FB won't ban my accounts if I am doing gaming. I am looking forward to conquering another vertical and taking my job to the next level
^^^ Having a job can be the best thing you can do for your AM career. The fear of no income and the stress that puts you under will almost certainly cause you to make poor decisions.
The only upside is that when you MUST do it NOW you learn at 10x the speed.
Hey Buddy,
First dont let your self down. When problems comes try to face it dont back out of it.My advice to you would be first see what's going in the market what people our doing and you not doing first learn that.
Regarding the offers,If the offers are not changing on a daliy bases then people get bored.try n have good offers. Then see the diffrence .
I wish u all the best and hope evereything come's back on the track.
I specially liked the part where maynzie told the guy to make the traffic source his bitch. That should go down in history along with Vito Corleone's phrases.
Take a look at these comics:
