Hello,
I am not an affiliate but trying to run ads for my own company and product. I spent almost two years creating a kick ass product but having a tuff time getting people to bite.
I am in dog training niche, yes I know most have been there done that, but I have created a breakthrough system and spent countless months on video content for this new project. The training is really amazing and the current customers are getting tons of value for the price.
I have targeted people with dogs - no luck
I have targeted people who have liked dog pages - no luck
etc...
I have worked my images and tried to work the targeting just can't get the click through good enough to get some volume.
Can anyone help with any suggestions...
Has anyone had any luck in this niche before...
thanks
I just spend a minute doing some keyword targeting in FB in the U.S., was able to find an audience of 5million + pretty easily. Target dogs, breeds of dogs, Caesar Millian, the Dog Whisperer, pages of dog food companies, pages of pet stores, etc. There audience is there...if you're not having any luck it means your ads / CTR need improvement.
If you're just showing a generic image of a dog then that's not going to get clicks. Your goal is to capture their attention and make them click. There are contests every year for the world's ugliest dogs, use images of their winners. Test images of huge dogs, and test images of tiny teacup yorkies. Test out funny pictures of dogs.

If you want help then feel free to share your images / some CTR data. I don't think anyone around here is in your niche.
2 years to create a product and then try to market it? If anyone wants to make products, I think it's better to promote something as an affiliate, research and make sure there's a profitable market for it, and then create your own product.
Have you tested your sales page on an easier traffic source to crack?
There's some good info in the post above, which should help you on Facebook. But is there any reason why you've chosen to focus your efforts on Facebook in particular?
With these kind of products, I would always test your sales page on a traffic source like AdWords first. Be sure that you can sell the product to users who are specifically looking for that solution BEFORE you try to sell it to users on Facebook.
Facebook users are often content to twiddle their balls, flicking around sites and wasting time. It requires pinpoint targeting and selling to get a Facebook user to bust out his plastic.
Secondly, if you can't get immediate sales from Facebook traffic, have you attempted to get opt-ins instead? Perhaps a good email marketing funnel would deliver those sales a few days or weeks down the line. You need to give yourself every opportunity to convert. Scoring sales from chance clicks is not easy, even in the dog training market. So if you can't get sales, focus on getting another chance to be heard instead. The best way to do that is with a list.
finch is the man... so whatever he said.
are you getting traffic but no sales?
if so, might be your offer.
hi there, is it the traffic or the sale copywriting - good copywriting makes world of difference.
average copywriting
200 clicks to a $67 product - 0 to 1 sale
A class copywriter that understand a niche and attacks at a good angle
200 clicks to a $67 product - 1 to 3 sales
and 1 sale is usually enough to make a small profit or break even, so there will not be a day where
advertising dollars are spent and there are no sales.
