AirPush & NeverBlue Giving Different Stats?

Hey guys i'm testing some campaigns on Airpush with Neverblue network, so now i'm leveraging on Neverblue's mobile tracker and also using Airpush's MACROS to tracking carriers, surprisingly for alot of my conversion, these 2 networks are telling me different thing...

1 says the conversion is made by Acer while another says LG.. yada yada... Which should i trust?

Question #2 on Airpush:

I set up a totally new campaign on Airpush and targeted 3 manufacturers... But why in my conversions reports i still see conversion subids on manufacturers that i did not target...???

Airpush conversion tracking is a total mess for me, it shows conversions much higher than the affiliate network, i would take stats from Neverblue and not Airpush for my data.

for carrier data - go with whatever AirPush tells you the conversion is coming from.

It might be wrong - but if Airpush thinks its from "Acer" and you filter our all other devices apart from Acer

Handset and Carrier detection is not perfect.

The further removed from the source of the data (ie neverblue) the more likely it is there are errors in the data.

Most adservers/trackers that detect carriers do so via some kind of IP lookup to detect the organisation and then match this against known organisations for different carriers.

Handset manufacturers are detected by the Useragent string.

WURFL is an opensource handset capabilities script that is the basis for most handset detection scripts.

i realize even if u paused the campaign in Airpush they still charge you for clicks maybe due to the push messages are read only AFTER some period of time.. didn't understand this at first when i read in MobAff training but yeah now i do... Sucks up ALOT of my budget real fast.....
