Redirects Dead??? (8)
Hey,
Since facebook changed the "create an ad" page I've noticed that I can't use a redirect url to link to my external site. It automatically changes my destination URL to the page I'm redirecting to via a cloaker. Anyone else experiencing this? Looks like they are doing away with redirects all together. You will have to have everything on the same URL for now on. More work for me 
I cant see them doing away with redirects....even the brands use them.....as do most API tools.....
but maybe they are considering "whitelisting" ......but who knows its FB afterall......
if this is true, worst case what you do is create a compliant lander, put it in a different folder on your domain then cloak FB reviewers to that folder and send FB users to the real page (on the same domain).
problem solved.
Put in redirect URL. Have it as a basic lander, e.g. redirect.com/index.php which is a landing page. Create ads. Immediately switch index.php to the redirect script. Problem?
Thanks for the responses. I know how to get around it, its just a lot more work I was wondering if you guys were seeing the same thing in your accounts or if it was just mine?
I use SAM and am not seeing it there, though I havent made any new camps in the last few days.
This is not an issue for me. Redirects are working fine on my end.
yeah it seems to only be that account. weird.
