Does anybody use shared hosting with Prosper202

I currently have a Bluehost account and was wondering if I get a dedicated ip and an SSL cert if it will do until I start getting profitable and go to a better hosting solution?

If you can get a dedicated IP easily then do it and run prosper on it. Having propser on better hosting isn't going to make you a better marketer or make your campaigns explode with monies, although if your hosting is shite then it may have an impact (slow redirects, timeouts etc). Once you are doing alright and can afford to spend $50-$100 a month on hosting move to something decent like BeyondHosting and never look back. It should be a decision you make very early on in your marketing efforts.

you should at least invest $50 in a VPS..you can get a reliable VPS at beyondhosting or stormondemand..you'll thank me later..it just doesn't make sense to run $100 or more of advertising just to see that your tracking is down because your at a cheap webhost..and even if bluehost can handle your traffic at the beginning..as soon as you find something that works you want to scale it..then you have to switch your hosting anyways.

That's a good point... given how cheap a decent VPS is it does make little sense to spend money of the same scale sending traffic to a potential liability. Thinking about it now, the minimum anyone is going to be spending on paid traffic is gonna be $5/day, and that's ~$150/month, already almost 3x the cost of your most basic VPS. So yeah it makes little sense not to get on one. I retract previous advice.
