Im leaving to go to europe for a month, staying with relatives, friends, etc.... I have a unlocked iphone with ATT and unlimited 3g.
Any ideas on what I should buy or get in order to be able to use the internet and my phone in europe? Usually here in the states if i ever went somewhere i would just set up my iphone as a hotspot and use its 3g for my computer, so looking to do something over in europe if i can, if not maybe get an international wifi adapter? any ideas?
Thanks!
buy a sim card when you get there....
Is your iPhone unlocked?
Get a pre-paid sim card and get a shop to cut it to iPhone size. If your phone is jailbroken, get MyWi 5.0 to tether internet to it.
i live in europe a few months a year... here's what i do.
i shut off my berry.
i travel with a jailbroken iPhone... and just get a sim card in holland.
Skype is on the iPhone.... all my contacts are on there.... if anyone needs to reach me, they're on my Skype.
I can use Skype in my apt with wifi or any coffeeshop with wifi.... so i can make regular phone calls that way.... or on my macbook....
yeah i got a jailbroken/unlocked iphone.. only problem for me is the wifi/ internet.... im bringing my laptop but i doubt there will be a lot of places with wifi for me to use, nor do i really trust some of the internet cafes with my prosper202 logins etc...
i wonder if there is a wireless internet adapter you can buy for europe?
I live in Prague but when I go to a another European country for more then a couple days I will buy a prepaid data sim card for that country once I arrive. They are cheap, for about 10-20 bucks you can get 5-20 gigs of prepaid data. You can also usually combine a data plan with a voice plan.
You can either use it with an unlocked phone or get a usb stick modem.
Another option might be something like this but I don't have no experience with them
