I love this one! OMGPOP

There's a quote, don't ask me who wrote it cos I forget, that I really feckn love and its "The bamboo seed takes the longest amount of time to germinate, but once its cracked its the fastest growing stalk in nature"

And this quote has a hugeeee impact on Affiliate marketers, and/or general business niggas. Through my short aff career I have helped quite a few dozen people and what hurts me the most is when I know for a FACT the person is about to achieve something great, but they quit without giving me one more week to see where they get to. But the ones that hold on are forever thankful for telling them to hang in just 1 more week.

Anyway, I was just going over facebook and saw this.

This is the prime example, although quite ridiculous and extreme, of the bamboo seed quote. Never quit, because success may just be around the corner.

Anyway that's just some Tuesday motivation for you peoples!

Oh and just for those who don't know who this is, its Charles owner of OMGPOP, the company that created "Draw Something" And Mr Angry Russian I know you play this game all day, that was a fine looking picture of Rhianna after being bashed LOL!

"Here's Charles. A month ago he was set to close his business. This week, he sold it for $180 million. That's why he's smiling...

After six years trying to figure out how to make games on the iPhone, Charles Forman was about to give up, with his company, Omgpop, set to run out of money by this May. Things changes three days ago. He said in an interview with the New York Times on Monday “I had $1,700 in my bank account yesterday, and now I have a whole lot more.”

So what changed? After 35 attempts at making games that would be successful, the Omgpop team finally found a hit at the beginning of February. The game, called “Draw Something” is like Pictionary for the iPhone. Since it launched on Feb 6th, it has been downloaded 35 million times. It caught the attention of Zynga, the game company behind Farmville and other Facebook game hits. A month after the game launched, Zynga just bought Omgpop from Charles for $180 million."

It is unreal how big it got so fast. As well how fast it got bought out. One success story like this = millions of wannabes grinding out for the next 3 years coming up with nothing.

^ yeah haha bandwagon jumpers

But the moral for me was not quitting, just stick to the one thing and make it work, cos people are making shit work you just gotta be fierce and dont back down

This is a great story! Thanks for the share maynzie! I'm curious how they marketed their Draw Something app to get this many downloads. I'm sure it's not just including their app in the appstore and word of mouth. Anyone here have any info on this?

The game, words with friends, scramble with friends are built to become viral. In order to play, you need to invite your friends to play with you. They were able to combine that with a really fun, engaging game which made it really popular
