Your favourite landing page cvr tricks?

I'll start

My #1 favourite is the use of urgency on a landing page!

ie: Only 7 copies left before we stop selling
ie: We'll give your spot to the next user is 00:45
ie: We have run out of downloads, only 1 is left, click below to see if it's too late.

Whats your fav cvr tricks?

I love the social proofing and testimonials... showing facebook likes, retweets, people who got x or joined y today, and having a counter count up the people.

^^ Social proofing is definitely next in line for me. I've added certain facebook tags that have 30%+ increased my CTR & CVR.

Social proofing all day err day

I actually recently did a test on one of my Landers and adding as Stacks said "certain facebook tags" it increased ctr from 45% to 61% and up'd the conversion rate from 17% to 25%!

And thats huge in a broad volume dating campaign

It's usually the little shit that takes your campaign to the next level

One weird trick I've used a few times, is making a free offer (e.g email submit) harder to get then originally intended. If people don't feel like they have earned something they react a lot better than just being handed something on a silver plater. Things like making people fit certain criteria in order to claim, or preforming a task before they get rewarded works well.

Btw what's this "certain facebook tags" you speak of?

Wow nice job on that CR boost!!!! Could you provide an example of "facebook tags"? I'm not sure what that refers to. Like, Likes?

facebook likes for sure, just plug in any moderately popular site in the code:

Code:
<div class="fb-like" data-href="http://google.com" data-send="false" data-width="450" data-show-faces="false"></div>
Stick it on your landing page and you've got an instant 3 million likes

linking to real news sources to tie in an angle use a _blank attribute to pop a new tab/window

sorry that was the HTML5 code, try using the iframe code:

Code:
<iframe src="//www.facebook.com/plugins/like.php?href=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&amp;send=false&amp;layout=standard&amp;width=450&amp;show_faces=true&amp;action=like&amp;colorscheme=light&amp;font&amp;height=80" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" style="border:none; overflow:hidden; width:450px; height:80px;" allowTransparency="true"></iframe>

I must be a coding idiot because I can't seem to get the iframe code above to work. I apply it and it shows nothing. I think I know what it's supposed to do but now I'm not sure.

Looks like I wont be needing to case study this shit anymore hahaha, its all been outed, this thread is now pixelated gold

For international offers...

Make sure everything is 100% consistent with the targeted country

Promoting in Europe? Make sure you use the € sign instead of the $ sign.
Use a real translator from onehourtranslation instead of Google translate
For testimonials use a name consistent with that country. I saw a Brazilian page with John Smith giving a testimonial lol.

These are pretty "common sense" but I see way too many lazy landing pages.

As far as "tricks", I like to add in a flag of the country I'm promoting above the fold.

Ex. If I'm promoting an offer to Argentina, the landing page will have an Argentinian flag at the top

The reason is they get untargeted ads to them all the time. Having the flag at the top lets them know "Hey, this product / ad is intended for me"
