Hey all,
Just wondering if anyone is noticing an abnormal increase in Facebook checking your advert links in running campaigns as of late? In the last few days I've had random surges of clicks (~1 per ad in campaign) from US Facebook IPs coming up network side. Kind of annoying because they mess with your stats a bit. Haven't noticed it until now and haven't seen any problems with international campaigns.
yes, actually they already visited my page periodically since last year, it's getting more frequent this year
Yep
With noIPfraud we saw a small increase in visits from "Facebook" bots and reviewers a couple of weeks ago.
There is a visit per ad when you launch
And daily visits, even if your campaigns are paused
But as you can see from the screenshot below, the actual visits from facebook bots/reviewers flunctuates quit a lot - anywhere between 11 and 8%

This is a stat from multiple campaigns across multiple accounts.
We looked at the average a while back when we saw the increase and for about 20m clicks the bleedrate (% of bots / reviewers) was 8%.
So as you can see there has been a small increase.
Very interesting. I would expect them to visit the ad every once in a while if you are running a lot of volume. There are so many ads out there. How can they visit them all daily?
bots and probably your accounts, campaigns and ads will have some flags that will trigger it for manual review
from my campaigns, when an account is in the clear, it runs smoothly.
once a campaign gets flagged though, every new change i make gets reviewed.
a new set of eyes reviewing can have different idea of what is correct according to policy.
Thats interesting.
For a stable campaign - how many "facebook" visits do you get per ad? Ie once in how many days?
It might be a helpful indicator that your account has been flagged and time to start moving campaigns elsewhere.
I've noticed I've been sending quite a few cloaked links this month. I don't always follow up to see if it was actually an FB IP or a false alarm so I can't say for sure. They must be out snooping around more lately.
