Postback delays

Is it normal to see long delays for conversion postbacks? (Server-to-server, not browser pixels)

In my initial test I saw a 10 minute delay from one network, and 30 minutes from another network. In both cases, the conversion showed up in their reports in their portal immediately.

Its possible that delays happen. Post back is often handled "asynchronous", ie your conversion is added to a queue and the servers handles them one by one in sequence. If there is a backlog then it can take a while.

Hassle your am to make sure there are no other issues though.

Yeah, I might have just been unlucky then. Just pushed the system live and the first real conversion took only a few minutes for the postback (from the same network that my test had a 30 minute delay).

Was just wondering what was typical for that sort of thing.

Oh yes, I have noticed the delay varies from nearly zero to up to 15 mins, depending on the offer/network
